Last night we noticed a large amount of water (more than from snow melt) across the center path, in front of the green bench near the restrooms. It looked like it was coming up from the ground, like from a leak in a pipe.

I really like the improvements for fishing and/or enjoying the water at the Griffy boathouse parking lot. The large limestone blocks along the shoreline were a nice addition however they have little support underneath and some have rolled into the water. These must be pretty heavy and hopefully no one was on the blocks as they rolled. The gravel behind is now sliding into water as well.

LARGE DOG PARK: While drainage has been added and temporary fencing put in, one section of fencing (the smaller one) does not encompass all of the water problem. The last time we brought our dog here she ran into the mud puddles (multiple times) and drank the water, which has previously made her sick. We will not go back until we hear it has been fixed completely.

I really like the dog park at Switchyard, but it could use water for dogs to drink in addition to hosing stations for dogs that get dirty. It is pretty standard for fog parks to have these amenities. Unfortunately, it makes it quite difficult to visit the park without them. The park is really great otherwise, but this small addition would help greatly. Thank you!

Are there plans to turn back on the city park water fountains any time soon? Not having access to drinking water is a real hindrance for runners.

Could we possibly get a water spigot, hose, and some plastic kiddie pools inside the fenced areas of the dog park? I belong to Karst Dog Park and those are so so valuable in these hot months.

The baby pool at Bryan park is significantly colder than the main pool. Babies need warmer water, not colder, especially now that they can’t take a break by going down the slides on their parent’s lap anymore.

Please turn back on the water fountains in the city parks. The CDS has advised that the risk of surface transmission of COVID-19 is minimal. Not having access to drinking water during these hot days is likely causing more harm than turning the fountains back on.

Hi-
Follow up on ticket 176107 that was resolved stating that I incorrectly used the term “irrigation.” Wanted to resubmit to say that the issue is a clogged drain causing a pretty deep puddle in the skate park when it rains. Was worried about all the kids, my own included, skating through it and not being able to see any obstructions in the water. Resubmitting as something other than “suggestion” and “irrigation” since it was pointed out that I don’t understand the definitions of those terms in the ticket response from before.

The new dog park at Switchyard is very pretty, but it lacks basic amenities to make it really useable. At the Ferguson park there is access to water in the park (not outside the gates) and it’s a spigot that can be used to fill a bowl. The setup at Switchyard makes it basically impossible to spend more than a few minutes in hot weather. Also, it looks like there was a plan to have a dog rinse area like at Ferguson, but it’s just an empty vestibule. Could you at least run a hose as a temporary measure? Especially if there are going to be permanent mud puddles right by the entrance.
There’s also nowhere shaded/sheltered in the park. The pergola over the outer seating area looks cute but isn’t very practical.
I’ve hiked the quarter mile with my dog on weekend days only to find no one there and had to leave basically immediately because the park is essentially unusable on a hot sunny day. Everyone is at the old park on those days.
