The tree/roots between the sidewalk and road between 2704 and 2702 E Brigs Bnd has caused the sidewalk to tilt and hold water. This will pose an icy surface and is difficult with my walker. I also am concerned the water will cause damage to my driveway. Is this something you can look into. Thank you. V/R Kenneth Crevier

I think the water main in front of 2700 S Banta is ruptured - there is water coming out of the cracks in the street and its not snow melt/runoff. A section of the main was replaced a few weeks ago about 50ft south of where this new leak is.

Sidewalk and driveway entrance concrete is torn up and needs to be repaired. My wife is blind and just walking in front of our house is dangerous for her and anyone walking by.

The trees between the houses on the street side of the sidewalk on rock creek in my neighborhood are super overgrown and low hanging. I’ve noticed some kids and elderly getting hit in the face with branches and having to duck. The city in the past has trimmed these low hanging branches but it was never done last year. Any chance we could get the low hanging branches on rock creek cut? It would make it a lot safer for our neighborhood kids who walk to school (and adults). To be clear, I’m talking about the city trees not residential trees. Thanks!

Can the sidewalk and street at the intersection of East Covenanter Drive and College Mall Road be swept clean? See photo attached. Much gravel is on the sidewalk on the southwest corner and in the center of East Covenanter Drive on the west side of this intersection.

South bound lane,West side of street, going uphill, there is a prominent outward portion of the curbing. It is painted yellow, but now black from repeated contact by vehicle tires. It needs to be rounded off, and move toward the sidewalk. When I struck this prominent angled curb, it resulted in a blowout of my right front tire. The Bland wrecker truck driver said “ Oh, I get lots of business from that curb” so my experience is not unique. Please fix for the nest drivers, and contact me if there are any questions. The sidewalk on both side of our driveway have become a major trip hazard with about a 5 or 6 inch drop. We have small children that have tripped and fallen due to the root system of the trees that have caused the sidewalk to raise and crack. Additionally, small animals seem to make their way under the sidewalk.

We recently had a tree removed from the spot shown,  as well as having a tree trimmed on the other side of our driveway. The tree that was removed was rotted out as it was deemed unsafe. We moved to this location in 2019 with a new baby on the way. Fast forward 2 years and just after the tree was removed by the City  of Bloomington, our now 2 y/o plays in front of our house and has now fallen multiple times because of the drop off on the sidewalk due to the tree roots that have lifted the sidewalk. Additionally, small animals have now made this area their home. This is the same problem on the opposite side of our driveway by the electrical boxes due to overgrown root systems of trees that were frankly too large to plant in there specific spots.The lift in the sidewalk from the tree roots has caused a major trip/fall hazards that are at least a 6in drop. Please advise.
