Hello -- Steve Akers here in the Park Ridge neighborhood. I have some items to bring to your attention regarding the Park Ridge park. Most are pretty obvious in terms of regular park maintenance and other points are from our stewardship observation as park users and close by residents. Please read through these points and be sure they are part of the on-going maintenance as we get closer to Spring, thanks. - Mowing: the contractor you have subbed out the mowing to is mowing whether it needs it or not. This has been the case for the past year. The result is literally no grass. Granted the park is heavily used including a nearby daycare visiting 2-3 times per week. With this what we believe is excessive mowing, the leaves are ground to a power and the grass is till. Granted it's quite shady - but please manage the mowing service and please for a pretty aggressive seeding and fertilizing. The park is now just dirt so users have to clean their shoes after use, etc. - Wood chips - regular maintenance. A good dose of chips are needed after a winter season use. - Powerwashing: the equipment is in decent shape and not too dirty but a good power washing of all equipment would be great before the spring/summer season. - Erosion: this issue is most noticeable in two locations. The hill to the south and the hill area beside the bike/ped path. With improved mowing and seeding, these areas may recover. But they do need some soil and minor leveling. - Canopy: it's still an awesome upgrade but does need power washing/cleaning, or possible replacement. We look forward to the park transitioning from winter to spring. The grill will hopefully be unsecured (the homeless have moved on) and the water fountain will be turned back on. I am happy to meet you or any staff at the site to discuss my items. One additional item: the Park Ambassador program does not include our park. I made an inquiry when the program began and was told the Park Ridge park was not part of the program. Would you reconsider? I know of neighbors who are willing to be named the Park Ambassador. 2 pipes busted in my apartments due to the copper pipes and the cold which resulted to 50 gallons being added to my water bill. First I was wanting to see if we could get some of the taken off cause it wasn’t our fault and set up a payment plan if I do have to pay the increased amount.
Water pipe froze and busted over winter break. IU real estate said to let you know so adjustments can be made.

The last few months I have been notified that my water meter was running very high, possible leaks. I am usually 1,000 gallon water user but last month bill was over $140, and today (Nov. 10/2022) my bill is$364.97. My HOA and myself have spent around $8,000 and find no water leaks. Eventually, I got a new water line, with a lot of pain. I need compensation for those huge water bill, the water that I did not use. I called few times and suggested that the meter was malfunctioning, maybe? Any way, I am a senior and retired and won't be able to pay those bill in full. Please help. Thank you so m
Please look at water bills for Dec, Jan, Feb. There was a broken water meter that resulted in an extreme excess of charge to my account. The water meter has since been fixed. However, since this was out of my control and I had no bearing in the broken water meter, nor its repair, I am hoping there can be some concession on my utility account. The person who is manager of the property has had the water company stop our service for no reason! We have been without water for two weeks now and with the cold weather we are sure the pipes are busted. We just need to be able to pay our bill and have water turned back on!
Our water bill has been extremely high ever since we have moved in due to water leak and running water. About a week ago the city of Bloomington came out and fixed our system outside of our home. When I called the receptionist said our December bill looked normal but our previous bills are not normal. We should have a 0 balance and some type of credit on our account after paying hundreds of dollars for the past few months. Now we are receiving a disconnect notice after just paying 200$.
Hi, My water connection was cut off because I lost my card and couldn't make payment. I'm charged some$90 fee for this. I've been and to pay my bill today. I'm already going through depression. I'm an international student at IU.I request the department to please waive this fee. I'll make sure it never happens again.
