There is no sidewalk for the church, bus stop, or any of the small businesses on the west side of S. Leonard Springs Road. This road is very busy and while one side of the road is paved, the other side is very dangerous. Please install sidewalks on the west side of S. Leonard Springs Road.
I would like more sidewalks to be installed in my neighborhood so it is safe for my dogs and I to walk in our neighborhood. We have to walk in the street and pull off to someone’s yard when cars come.
I’m writing to request the completion of unfinished sidewalks and the addition of some crosswalks on the west side of Bloomington. The first is an unfinished stretch of sidewalk along the east side of Curry Pike from Industrial Avenue to the intersection of 2nd St./45. The sidewalk dead-ends before reaching the intersection, and there is no crosswalk at the intersection to allow pedestrians to cross safely from the north side of 2nd St./45 to the south side, or vice versa. The second is a stretch of sidewalk along the north side of 2nd St. from Liberty Drive to Industrial Avenue. This sidewalk is overgrown and near unusable and dead-ends before reaching Industrial Avenue. Moreover, the intersection at Liberty Drive and 2nd St. has a crosswalk on only the north side (going east-west) and does not allow pedestrians to cross safely from the south to north side of 2nd St., or vice versa. Lastly, the sidewalk on the west side of Curry Pike does not connect between Lamplighter Mall Ct. and Glen Oaks Drive, and connecting these stretches of sidewalk would provide better access to 3rd street and the neighborhoods along Curry Pike. It would be much appreciated if the city could complete these stretches of sidewalk and make the area more walkable for those of us who do not have other modes of transportation or who simply prefer to walk the shorter distances to reach businesses and services that are close to home. I contacted the state about this signage and they said it is the city or the county’s responsibility. Not sure if this is city or county but the I-69 sign on southbound Leonard Springs Rd near Tapp rd pointing to the I-69 ramp is behind a tree and is not visible- it needs to be moved. With new people coming into town this needs to be visible. Can you also put up signage there heading northbound on Leonard Springs at the intersection there at Tapp Td indicating the direction of the I-69 ramp?
There needs to be an I 69 sign here at the corner of Tapp Rd and Leonards Springs for motorists traveling north on Leonard Springs Rd. There is one for motorists traveling south on Leonard Springs but not one for those traveling North. With lots of new people moving here it would be very helpful.
Stop sign, at the corner of Jeffrey Rd and Sims Rd, is snapped at base and lying on the ground. Two police cars were leaving the scene when I arrived home, but unsure if they reported or if the incidents were related. Just wanted to report so the sign could be replaced.
The I-69 sign here on the southbound lane of Leonard Springs Rd near the intersection of Tapp Rd. is behind a tree and is not visible due to the tree blocking this sign. This tree was trimmed last year but really this sign should just be moved to be in front of the tree not behind it so the tree blocking the sign won't be a problem in the future.
Shale Crest Dr. Street sign needs to be replaced
Please paint lines on the road to complete the project. It was recently paved, and it’s BEAUTIFUL…but we need lines before the snowfall hides the road entirely. Please.
approximately W Glen Oaks Drive and Curry Pike. On South bound Curry Pike the right lane merge into left lane has been altered. It looks like left lane to merge to right lane.
