This South Carolina town has produced these very inexpensive masks and are handing them out for free. They are based on IU professor and Bloomington resident Jiangmei Wu's free origami design. They can be easily assembled by the user using rubber bands and are made of paper. Something for Bloomington to think about doing. Thank you. Corner of Lakewood Dr. and North Dunn: Curb broken down, extreme erosion next to the road. Large drop-off from road/corner creating traffic hazard.
Street light out.
Hi, please reopen the basketball hoopa at Building & Trades Park. I understand it is a small thing, and closing the hoops is done in the interest of public health, however basketball is something that can be done individually, or among persons sharing quarantine, with no risk of contamination of shared surfaces (as would be the case at the playgrounds for example). Seeing as outdoor activity was declared essential, it makes more sense to determine unsafe groupings that to preemptively punish responsible citizens trying to engage in recreation safely. Thanks for your consideration.
Hickory Grove Lane on the west side of Bloomington in the zip code 47403, the whole road which is about 2/10ths of a mile long. And the end of the road is full of potholes. When it rains it looks like a pond. I don’t think it would be that expensive to repair this short lane.
There is a homeless camp located between Old SR 37 and North Walnut, just north of 45. The entrance is on Old 37 as you head down into Lower Cascades Park. I witnessed multiple individuals entering the area on Saturday afternoon. With a social distancing guidelines in place, it seems like an encampment is a disaster waiting to happen.
Google directions tells drivers to turn left onto "W. 14th St." from Monroe Ave. when coming to my house but there is no sign that says "W. 14th St." The sign actually says "Summit." I myself have gotten mildly lost before I knew the area. Can you please add a sign to that signpost that says "W. 14th St.", please? Or update Google maps?
Last summer I saw some bag worms on a bush. Those are the ones that normally kill trees and bushes. The bush is still there so I'm guessing they might have an opportunity to spread. The bush I saw them on was the first bush just west of Rogers on the B-Line where it crosses by the junkyard.
The pedestrian crossing sign is missing from the B-Line and 4th St. intersection.
