There are a number of trees down between the starry view entrance to rca park trail and the summit elementary entrance- thought it was just one, but it seems like 3-4 larger trees blocking the path
Can you please add dog bags along the b-line. Especially by switchyard park.
The homwless are back dragging in matress and blankets and much miscellaneous putting an enclosure, then leaving and of course leaving piles of trash Much of th trash looks like items given them so they can live on the streets then they abandon it all and get more items to live elsewhere and leave trash there again. When will this giving to them stop so they have to be in shelters.
While walking late last night (circa midnight) along the asphalt path around the parks, I noticed that someone had set up a small tent in the woods (last night, the tent was illuminated from within by the person's flashlight). It was just a few yards off the lower end of the path that cuts through the woods between Olcott and the Goat Farm areas, where the path bends (tent was off the outside of the corner) and comes into view of the small bridge over Jackson Creek. On previous nights, I've smelled a latrine odor in the same general area, so I doubt this was the first occurrence. Given that this is very near a popular wading stream and not far from the playground, I decided to report it.
Will Milestone sod the recently added mounds of clay they added to the edges of the amended asphalt north of Wimbleton, or do they just expect the homeowners to try to establish new seed in the fourth week of October? They haven't seeded any of their patches of added clay, yet the drainage pattern will wash all of that new "soil" away in the next few weeks of rain. They found in vitally important to sod the easement along Arden, yet completely ignored the massive easements between Arden and Rock Creek Ct - watching them wash into the gutters and creek. And the whole area around Wimbleton is a drainage nightmare. This will come back and bite the city in the behind next flood season. Why do you hire these clowns? Are they related to Hamilton?
I have walked the trail at Latimer Woods at least once a day for the last 4 years. Thanks for providing us with a dirt trail through the woods. Last fall, I believe employees of Parks and Rec. raked the leaves off the trail after they all fell in November. While this may have seemed like a good idea, the trail became treacherous after a rain, freeze/thaw, or snow. Please leave the leaves on the trail. They provide traction, and help prevent erosion. Thanks, Mike Forney
there are two trees across griffy creek trail past lanam trail, there maybe more but trail is too overgrown right now.
This morning at approximately 8:20, while I was riding a bicycle southbound on the B-Line trail over the Grimes Street bridge, I met a full-sized truck driving northbound on the B-Line Trail over the bridge. The truck was labeled Bloomington Parks and Recreation, and I spoke with the driver and passenger, who were staff members of the Parks and Recreation Department. The posted rules of the B-Line trail prohibit motorized vehicles. I am aware that we make exceptions for motorized wheelchairs, electric bicycles, electric scooters, and the small trucks used by security and parks maintenance staff. However, my opinion is that a full-sized truck is well outside the range of acceptable exceptions. A full-sized truck is less safe, provides less visibility for the truck driver to see walkers and others on the trail, blocks more of the trail width, and causes more wear on the trail surface. My opinion is that full-sized trucks should not be on the B-Line, when there are alternate routes available for a truck on public streets, and alternative vehicles available to use on the B-Line trail.
Hi. This is a friendly note to tell you that the new 4th Street Garage has a trash can on the exteror, Southwest corner, that hasn't been emptied since it was first placed there. It's definetely full and is in need of being emptied. I've mentioned this twice to parking garage attendants (via video chat at the exit) but wanted to be sure someone is aware. Thanks very much.
