Not sure what category this falls under, and not clear who owns the property (private or RR.) Can the City cleanup garbage dumps that were created by vagrants, or at least enforce that attention be paid to them? There are syringes, etc. lying in the woods close to a main thoroughfare. Some drunk could wander in there at night and be injured.
Hi - this is follow-up to ureport #186407. It is the sidewalk on the west side of College Ave just south of 14th street, near the train bridge. First off, thanks for your prompt attention! Unfortunately, the sidewalk is still not its full width. The historical sidewalk is about 8ft wide, and I believe pedestrians should enjoy the full width that was provided decades ago. I drew a red line on the photo to show where the edge of the sidewalk is. Everything to the right of that red line is vegetation and dirt that is encroaching on the sidewalk. What is to be done? I have done this work myself at the 11th&Fairview train bridge. I can do between 25 and 50 linear feet of this kind of work per hour with a shovel. This would generate nearly a yard of waste dirt which will need to go somewhere. An ideal solution would also stabilize the hillside but please don't let the perfect get in the way of the good. Please forward this to Director Wason as that sort of investment will require some leadership. I have watched work crews use line trimmers to move dirt and sand, which seems like a failure to provide the tools for the actual task they face. There is a dead skunk in the bike path under the railroad bridge that has been hit by a car. Because it is under the bridge the smell is trapped.
This house has been in a constant state of demolition. There is trash everywhere. At night, people are using the basement as a shelter. Cats are frequently seen catching rats. I live at 1007 W 1st, the rats are encroaching on my property and at 6am, people are crawling out of the basement. The dumpster is huge and has not been emptied for quite a while. This site is a serious health hazard and keeps me from enjoing my home.
The apartment development on Gourley Pike has just poured a curb that impedes access to W. Cascade Ave. The curb extends into the approach to W. Cascade. There is no longer room for 2 cars to pass one another simultaneously to enter the street

Was near 910 S Highland Ave on 5/21/24 around 7:30a while walking my dog and deer came out of nowhere, charged at us and would not back down; came as close as a foot from us. Another dog walker on Maxwell heard the commotion and helped distract it so we were able to get away. Do not feel safe at all walking around the area since I'm guessing there is a fawn nearby.
Hello! I want to report that there is a lot of poison ivy at the NW corner of S Grant and E Allen St, 47401. This is right along the edge of the street on S Grant. We live at 909 S Grant, just up the hill, with two small kiddos, so we're constantly stressed out about balls, etc, rolling across the street and down into the poison ivy patches. I think this is technically right of way/city property if it is this close to the street? Not sure. I remember seeing in the past somewhere to report poison ivy, but now can't find it, so I'm just reporting it under misc and other. If there is any kind of city program to come remove poison ivy, I'd love to see it happen at that corner. There is a ton of ivy growing up a light post on that corner as well, some of it along the bottom might be poison ivy, not all of it is (that is mostly virginia creeper? something like that - the 5 leaf variety.)
