Curry Pike is nearly always left snow covered while other streets like w. 3rd and Bloomfield Road are well cleared. Who is responsible for Curry Pk, the City or County?
In Bryan Park, ragweed along the edge of the stream that feeds Sheridan Creek. Please urge mowers to mow in a little further. It's a few inches tall now, but it can get to be 3 or more feet tall by August. (Sidebar: most of the area between the basketball courts and the picnic shelter would be like that too without mowing)
The curb on Union street, between 10th and 3rd streets needs to be repainted the caution yellow It is almost completely gone and time after time as a student living at Union Street Center I have seen students park illegally in the 2-hour parking on that street blocking accessible sidewalks because the paint is gone. As an RA there, I have brought this up with my supervisor and he instructed me to contact the city, as it is an issue that should be handled by the city rather than IU itself.
Black Ford EcoSport with a flat tire (driver side front) has been parked The Stands (near Rogers) for two days. No sign of removing car. It is a serious traffic hazard since it is on a curve. No cars are allowed to park on The Stands normally. Plate # Indiana QT4755.
Stranded pedestrian: Sidewalk ends on both sides of the street going west on Rogers at the Stands. There was no signage for the lack of pedestrian access when I came out of Spicewood.
The sidewalk in front of the LXA fraternity on the corner of Third & Highland has not been cleared. It is obvious that no attempt has been made. It is almost impossible to walk on and very dangerous. There is no excuse for a place occupied by lots of young strong people who could certainly clear the sidewalk and who could certainly afford to pay someone to do it. Used and open syringes are being thrown every now and then at Bline Trail/ Switchyard park. Did we pay for this project so that drug addicts can shoot up and throw syringes where the kids are playing? Why are the restrooms not open for public use at the switchyard park as well as the BPD? Don't say that you don't have enough resources to hire and take care of those. Address the real problem.
