I’m writing to request the completion of unfinished sidewalks and the addition of some crosswalks on the west side of Bloomington. The first is an unfinished stretch of sidewalk along the east side of Curry Pike from Industrial Avenue to the intersection of 2nd St./45. The sidewalk dead-ends before reaching the intersection, and there is no crosswalk at the intersection to allow pedestrians to cross safely from the north side of 2nd St./45 to the south side, or vice versa. The second is a stretch of sidewalk along the north side of 2nd St. from Liberty Drive to Industrial Avenue. This sidewalk is overgrown and near unusable and dead-ends before reaching Industrial Avenue. Moreover, the intersection at Liberty Drive and 2nd St. has a crosswalk on only the north side (going east-west) and does not allow pedestrians to cross safely from the south to north side of 2nd St., or vice versa. Lastly, the sidewalk on the west side of Curry Pike does not connect between Lamplighter Mall Ct. and Glen Oaks Drive, and connecting these stretches of sidewalk would provide better access to 3rd street and the neighborhoods along Curry Pike. It would be much appreciated if the city could complete these stretches of sidewalk and make the area more walkable for those of us who do not have other modes of transportation or who simply prefer to walk the shorter distances to reach businesses and services that are close to home. On the corner of Cabot Ct. and Sheffield there is some type of water seeping into the road from the corner of the street near a stop sign. Seems like a broken water line.

The curb in front of my house has heaved to the point where pulling into my driveway is damaging my cars. Both curbs need to be removed and replaced. The road in front of the curb is also breaking up and needs to be repaved.

There is an unsanctioned Frat House in the ULofts. The U loft apartments are constantly disrupting the neighborhood late into the night and early morning. The property is covered in trash, and they have been throwing glass bottles from the interior of the property into the neighboring units.

Is there a way to keep street people from rummaging through apartment complex dumpsters in the middle of the night? They make a lot of noise and leave a mess behind and if ask them to stop they yell and threaten people. Is it a crime? If so, does management or property owners need to report them or can tenants/neighbors call the police?

This entire property apartment complex is rented out to a fraternity. The result of that is continuously loud noise at night and a dumpster that is constantly overfilled. The upside is that during the summer the property is silent and pleasant, but for the nine months of the school year the neighborhood is forced to suffer their presence. The property management (Pavilion) seem to be oblivious and uncaring, but can the City at least require them to enclose the garbage dumpster so that neighbors do not have to look at it? This is not the fault of the garbage hauler (Ava), because they pick up the trash regularly and on schedule. However, these tenants are such high-maintenance, consumption-oriented pigs that they generate far more waste than normal people ever could, the dumpster is almost always overflowing, and it smells horrible. Please help.
