Case Date:

Last w/e, found pieces of shattered, clear glass on the limestone steps by the creek. Location is adjacent to the volley ball net. I picked up the larger pieces. Today I walked thru the area; with the sunlight, can still see several pieces about dime and quarter sized. Can easily cut or embed in feet or paws. Can someone sweep or vacuum? Thank you.

I understand It’s legal to park in a minor street, but where? In front of vehicle owners property or in front of the immediate neighbor’s property? The later do create a easy assess to neighbor’s property, because people drove by might think it’s this vehicle owner’s property. I have been bothered by my neighbor for quite a time and everyone tell me it’s legal, nothing they can do. So the threatening is always there, if I have a mental break down, who’s responsibility is? The neighbor or the city? Life is so hard.

Blocked Street

Case Date:
10/23/2023

I understand that much of the street and yard work done is not by City staff members, but there should be some sort of oversight to ensure resident rights when street/easement/public utility efforts are underway. Our yard at 4021 E. Morningside is routinely deconstructed with no notice given and often damages left behind. Today our driveway was blocked off (still is) by a Green Ram truck with a Vermeer tanker, with a hole dug in the middle of our driveway exit. Our family works and has to enter and exit the drive throughout the day. One of the most important events of the past 7 years is happening tonight that we need to get to. We are making backup plans on an alternative way to go there, but to receive zero communication when we are to have no vehicular use for the day is something that needs to change. If the City has any jurisdiction over the permits given to these companies, they need to start requiring true resident notice and respect for property. Thank you for any help you can provide in future efforts.

City Performance

Case Date:
10/23/2023

I just watched someone get a ticket warning for being parked on the grass in front of the house they live in. There is absolutely nothing that necessitates a law to prevent people from parking on sand, grass, dirt, or any other “unapproved surface”. If the property isn’t city owned and funded why would a person need to move their vehicle? Damage to their lawn is their business and they can reseed if they want to? Does the city also require perfectly grown grass on every lawn? The car is off the street. It is not preventing traffic or any permitted parking from occurring. The only reason you would pass such a law is to require the owner of said property to pay the money to pave so that the neighborhood “looks” a certain way or pay you to park on the street that they don’t need to use. There is no point in buying property if you can’t park your car wherever you’d like on it. I’m not the person who got the warning but it’s ridiculous for the local government to try to bully people into buying street parking permits from you. This city ordinance requiring a particular parking surface is completely unreasonable and it erases the meaning of property. I know absolutely no one will read this or care and that you will all just keep unreasonably ticketing people but just in case a single person actually cares I’ll send this message.
