Potholes, Other Street Repair
419 N Walnut ST
- Case Date:

Hello! The alley behind our brewery has gotten pretty bad - it is frequently traveled by delivery drivers and our own team, and has become dangerous to offload supplies and equipment. Patching or paving would be really, really appreciated.
Street Snow Removal

The alley in front of 420 N Fess was never plowed or salted, the alley is now covered in ice - one of the residents slipped and fell and is now in the E.R. - If you could salt or sand the alley that would be lovely.

Sidewalk Requests
429 1/2 E 11th ST
- Case Date:
- 6/30/2021
Sidewalk on NE corner of Dunn/11th has a sinkhole forming in it. It is not too large now, but it is dangerous and progressive. Not clear is this is a City issue or if the adjacent property owner is responsible for sidewalk upkeep.
Street Trees

- Case Date:
- 3/26/2024
A tree was snapped by the win, and is now blocking the sidewalk on the east side of Dunn between 11th and 12th streets. It is not obvious if it was a City-owned tree or private.

Homeless people are again living in People’s Park.
They’re using drugs, fighting, leaving trash everywhere, screaming and yelling, urinating and defecating and have taken over most of the benches and tables.
It also appears that they are sleeping there overnight.
We bought ice cream across the street and expected to have a nice Sunday afternoon in the park for thirty minutes or so… we tried sitting on the steps of a business on the opposite side of Dunn Street but the shrubbery nearby was probably soaked in urine based on the stench.
We simply left at that point…..
No other Indiana city of the same size and population has a homeless population of 1 % of that of Bloomington and that is directly attributable to the fact that Bloomington attracts these people by virtue of feeding them and enabling them unlike anywhere else in Indiana.
I’ve lived in and near Bloomington since 1974 and this has simply gotten totally out of hand.
