The owner continuously have been leaving their dogs for days at a time with no care or even a light on in the apartment. Why won't anyone do anything about the dog that lives in the red truck in the front part of Southcrest trailer park? It's freezing outside, no source of heat!

Management of Southcrest estates is deliberately adding antifreeze to containers of water in the trailer park with the intent of murdering the local cats and dogs that reside there regardless if they are chipped or collared. Please look into this issue as soon as possible, a neighborhood cat has already died and was found with antifreeze dripping out of its mouth and it was disposed of by management subsequently by being thrown into a dumpster. This is a hazard and risk to all humans and animals exposed to these toxic chemicals. Especially small children that may hold or interact with affected animals.

Animal Control & Neglected Pets

3101 N Kingsley DR

Case Date:
9/20/2020

This morning, I was attacked by a dog at 3101 N Kingsley Dr, Bloomington, IN 47404. The property owner left the dog in the front yard unattended while he was inside the home. I hollered for the owner when I saw the unrestrained dog coming toward me. The owner came out of the house through the front door and went towards his dog as it approached me. His dog attacked me in the road before the owner was able to restrain him and put the animal back in the home. Last week, my daughter was attacked by the same animal at the same location. I was not present when she was attacked but she described a similar situation of the dog being unattended outdoors and the owner was nowhere to be found. I would like to formally file a complaint about this pet owner and request an animal control officer communicate with him about his rights and responsibilities, as well as consequences for not abiding the rules.

Wildlife Conflict

3100 S Walnut Street PIKE

At about 8:45 pm my children and I were walking our dog on her leash and a coyote came towards us. I would not be as concerned except this is the third time this has happened since January. I fear this same lone coyote is unafraid of people and is crossing Walnut Street Pike to feed out of the dumpster at Walnut Springs Apartments (I believe these are the name of the set of brown and tan apartment buildings) the trash dumpster is always out of control. Beds, furniture and food refuse litters the ground and dumpster area daily. Skunk is running around as well but this coyote has me nervous. My first time seeing it I thought it was a German shepherd loose but I knew it was a coyote from its gruff and it’s tail. I saw it about 5ish one January day. Then I saw it again, same driveway, same area in early March about 7ish - that’s when I figured it’s living in the field that has an abandoned house and possibly crossing the road to eat out of the dumpster. This third time it was in the yard of the abandoned house. It walked towards us then stood still just watching us. This time my dog was unaffected and unbothered also where she wasn’t the prior times. I’m now afraid this coyote is use to humans and getting braver. It’s also April and I fear it’s obviously protecting its territory. Walnut Street Pike this year (this is my 3rd Spring here) it seems busier with more children outdoors and high pet traffic; seeing this coyote once I feel was luck, twice was a rush of fear, three times I felt I needed to send out a warning as the trees and bushes are going to fill in more making it harder to see the coyote but easier for the coyote to see us humans and our pets. When the coyote gets to going at night it’s pretty intimidating and cool at the same time - I’ve recorded it - it’s definitely some coyote howls!!!

A skunk was ran over in front of our house a few days ago. It's smelling up the area pretty badly. It is on the white line on the edge of the road so, it's not getting flattened and destroyed like it would if it were in the middle of the road. I would appreciate it if someone would come pick it up and dispose of it. Thank you.
