I'm giving the City a $50 citation. It's been more than 24 hours since the snow stopped and the B-Line Trail along the 2nd Street Kroger is snow covered. Unacceptable. This is not the only part of the trail like this. Great work. With more snow and continued cold weather, the problem won't just go away. Grab a shovel, let's go.
Why is the city incapable of not parking on the sidewalk? You also still haven’t fixed the issue where images don’t attach to ureports properly. It’s a photo of a city truck blocking 100% of the sidewalk in front of building trades park. Glad I’m not in a wheelchair
Poison ivy growing on sidewalk leading up the path to the park from Highland. This was reported by my husband last year and we believe someone just cut it off it’s coming back again and needs to be treated.
Vehicle blockers broken on Ralston b-line spur on Ralston at both Madison and Bryan streets. Also there is still ice and snow on the b-line spur in the same location.
The fruitless pear on the land between the sidewalk and street could use pruning. It is located to the left of our driveway when looking at our house. It's got some thick branches that could cause the tree trunk to split. We did not plant this tree.
Tree is making cracking noise and the limb hangs over the sidewalk and street. Sap is frozen and high winds may make the limb fall anytime soon. Anthony’s tree and lawn service also looked at the tree. Not sure if it’s a City tree or not.
Along the southern edge of South East park there is a brambly thorn bush that is over hanging the sidewalk. Could it please be trimmed back off the sidewalk so pedestrians are scratched by the thorns? I think the best way to describe the location would the edge of the park nearest the house at 1811 S Montclair.
Tree in the front of 1002 E Heather Drive, between the sidewalk and street, has died and needs to be removed. It is a very small tree, only planted a few years ago. The deer over the winter have removed most of the bark, which has killed the tree.
I am the President of the Board of Trustees at Unity of Bloomington. Our parking lot is partially owned by us, and partially City property as the B-Line runs behind our building on S. Rogers & Gordon Pk. (We currently maintain the entire parking lot vis-a-vis snow removal etc.) Recent changes, especially in Switchyard Park, have precipitated a migration of unhoused persons south on the B-Line trail. The UoB parking lot has become a stop-over for derelict vehicles and we're experiencing a significant increase in loitering and trash. The Board of Trustees recognizes that this is an important ministry opportunity, and we are engaged in prayerful consideration of reasonable steps forward. In the meantime, we host a nursery school in our facility and safety is an ongoing concern. My current request is this: 1. Could we receive help from the City to secure a larger trash barrel than the small trail-sized container currently in place near our parking lot (and would it be up to us or the City to tend it)? 2. Could the City help by providing a cigarette butt receptacle for our parking lot? (My husband and I collected more than 100 cigarette butts from the Unity parking lot before services last Sunday) 3. There are two dogwood trees on the sidewalk that have lots of weeds growing at the base and desperately need to be watered.
