Most of the trees along our street are in need of trimming to keep the branches from forcing people to get off the sidewalk or crouch in order to get by. Several of them are also too low for cars to drive under them or park under them along the curb.
The last recent storm we had blew down a few limbs in the tree located in front of our house between the road and sidewalk. One of the limbs fell to the ground the other limbs are still hanging in the tree, they might fall onto the road or sidewalk (depending on which way they fall). The hanging limbs are a hazard and need to be taken out of the tree and cleaned up ASAP.

There is a sugar maple that is mostly dead in this home's yard. It is a threat to the city bus stop, and school bus stop located on the NW corner of Dunstan & Allendale. Large limbs fall into the street and sidewalk regularly.
There are two dead crab apple trees located in between the sidewalk and street. Located on the south side of Allendale Drive between Kingsbury Court and Bainbridge Drive. Would make an excellent location for street tree planting once the dead trees are removed.

Dead tree between sidewalk and street. Fungus is now growing on the dead tree. Is it possible to have it removed before the fungus spreads to the nearby alive tree?
I am the President of the Board of Trustees at Unity of Bloomington. Our parking lot is partially owned by us, and partially City property as the B-Line runs behind our building on S. Rogers & Gordon Pk. (We currently maintain the entire parking lot vis-a-vis snow removal etc.) Recent changes, especially in Switchyard Park, have precipitated a migration of unhoused persons south on the B-Line trail. The UoB parking lot has become a stop-over for derelict vehicles and we're experiencing a significant increase in loitering and trash. The Board of Trustees recognizes that this is an important ministry opportunity, and we are engaged in prayerful consideration of reasonable steps forward. In the meantime, we host a nursery school in our facility and safety is an ongoing concern. My current request is this: 1. Could we receive help from the City to secure a larger trash barrel than the small trail-sized container currently in place near our parking lot (and would it be up to us or the City to tend it)? 2. Could the City help by providing a cigarette butt receptacle for our parking lot? (My husband and I collected more than 100 cigarette butts from the Unity parking lot before services last Sunday) 3. Tree is making cracking noise and the limb hangs over the sidewalk and street. Sap is frozen and high winds may make the limb fall anytime soon. Anthony’s tree and lawn service also looked at the tree. Not sure if it’s a City tree or not.
There is a tall large tree next to the sidewalk that has been dead and needs to be removed from the ground. thanks
