Multiple unhoused people are beginning to gather behind the residential dumpster and by the mail boxes. They hang out for awhile and then it evolves into them setting up camps and tarps, etc. often results in disturbances in the early morning hours. This is not the first time this has happened. Drug use and evidence of drug use was found. Do not want criminal charges or anything, just for them to not set up In our backyard.

Blocked Sidewalk

Encampment of houseless individuals taking up on public sidewalk behind tree planter every night. The area is blocked during their occupation and when they leave, copious amounts of trash, discarded belongings, syringes etc are left behind to be cleaned up by others. The public defecation that takes place is a public health hazard.

Hi, Regarding the July 3 downtown fireworks display, https://bloomington.in.gov/bicentennial links to https://bloomington.in.gov/sites/default/files/2018-06/Fireworks%202018%20FAQ%20Document%20v5%20-%20FINAL.pdf which, among other things, states, "What is the perimeter around the launch site? The City has worked hard on safety for the event. There will be a perimeter around the fireworks display area. Please see attached map. Viewers will not be able to watch the fireworks inside that area." There is no "attached map" that I could find and no instructions/advisory as to where folks might set up lawn chairs and view the show. Given that there may be a large crowd, where are we advised to gather to watch? BTW, the "Calendar" the city site links to (https://calendar.google.com/calendar/embed?src=bloomington.in.gov_4m4ito5pefg3ts9pb9uudhda6o@group.calendar.google.com&ctz=America/New_York) has no entry for July 3. Finally, the "flyer" at https://www.visitbloomington.com/event/b-town-boom!-fireworks-over-downtown/38107/ states, "Cook Group and CFC Properties, in partnership with the City of Bloomington, are excited to bring fireworks back to downtown Bloomington for the first time in years. B-town Boom fireworks are an opportunity to celebrate the Bicentennial of the City of Bloomington and Monroe County while kicking off Bloomington's Fourth of July festivities. More info to come." Again, no information about where viewers should or can gather. Can you please advise?
