The intersection of Moore's Pike and Smith Road is dangerous coming towards the intersection going north on Smith Road. There needs to be a stop ahead sign put out. During Winter we have cars drive into our front yard close to our house from having to slam on breaks to avoid a collision.

A house on my street has become a transition house for alcoholic woman. My opinion is that this primarily one-family house has become a hotel. This neighborhood isn’t zoned to all allow businesses. Pulling out of this alley either direction onto Woodlawn is a hazard, especially for pedestrians and bicyclists. To the right (on Subway/apartment bldg. side) is shrubbery that completely blocks the view of the sidewalk and street. Approaching it from the alley, we can't see if any vehicles or pedestrians are approaching from the north, traveling south. To the left of the alley is a rental house that has a shrub or tree or some other type of greenery that hangs far enough forward that we can't see what's approaching from the south, traveling north. We must ease our vehicles out into the street in order to see what's coming on Woodlawn in either direction. If we're turning right (to head north) when we ease out into the street for visibility, when we see that it's clear to turn onto Woodlawn it forces the front half of the vehicle to swing into the southbound lane. The shrub to the right of the alley (Subway building) needs to be trimmed drastically or removed altogether for safety's sake since the view of pedestrians and vehicle/bicycle traffic is completely blocked. And the tree/bush on the other side of the rental house to the left needs to be trimmed back enough for visibility. This alley is used daily by many. It contains IU parking spaces and parking for residential rental property, and U.S. Mail vehicles travel it daily for delivery. A colleague reported this to the city last year and nothing came of it.

Although the map doesn't indicate it, there is a house on the corner that appears to be running a commercial paint company. There's a trailer with no less than 50 5 gal paint buckets and a storage trailer as well. Not sure if paint is leeching out of the trailer but it looks like crap in a residential neighborhood.

Hello, I am writing you again to address the storm water issue we have in front of our property. It has been almost a year since the process of fixing this issue has started and it is becoming frustrating. We have been very patient, and we understand that there are priorities in the city but if this issue is not addressed the road will continue to erode and soon we will not be able to access our driveway. As I stated, we started the process in March 2022; we waited until September and submitted another ticket UReport 181323; this time the crew came and did some work (since we did not receive any information, we did not know if they are finished by the way they left the project for the past few months). I wish I could attach more photos of the "finished " project. Anyway whenever they cleaned the trench, the asphalt was scraped, and everything was left as is and every time it rains all the dirt and sediments go in the culvert clogging it. The rain today made everything worse, the culvert is clogged and the water is again on the street. It is extremely frustrating and disappointing. Below is the first email we sent on March 14, 2022 Hello, We are contacting you with hopes of getting some advice regarding the storm water stream that runs along E Vernon Ave in Matlock Heights neighborhood. There is a storm/ rain water stream( path) that runs under N Dunn Rd , goes west on E Vernon Ave and under Fritz Dr and eventually goes into a larger creek. Over the past few years this pathway has been deteriorating with some of the road erosion happening right before the water goes into the culvert under our driveway. The previous owner of our property added some rocks and blocks but it does not solve the road erosion problem. We are needing guidance and help since we do not know how to address the erosion and also the public road. Thank you for all your help! Mihaela Lee 812-325-6959
