Hello, there is a massive issue with drivers running red lights and stop signs in this city. I have marked a particularly bad intersection (Madison and 11th), however this issue is city-wide. The included intersection has a wall on the bridge that prevents vehicles from seeing around the corner to 11th street, which often means that people just roll right through the stop sign. I've been almost T-boned at this intersection multiple times, and I genuinely fear I may die there some day. I have already been hit once by someone ignoring traffic laws on Third Street, and have almost been hit on foot and in my vehicle countless times downtown. It has gotten to the point where I am afraid to travel around the city. There should be traffic cameras on the stop lights, and more aggressive fines to deter these people casually ignoring safety and traffic laws. I understand that it is hard to enforce stop signs, however I have witnessed (on multiple occasions) police patrol vehicles allowing people to run right through 4-way stops, and some even do it themselves. People are learning that there are absolutely no consequences for driving recklessly around the city, and it has gotten noticeably worse. Please, consider taking action about the extremely unsafe traffic situation in our city.

It seems that the timing of the traffic lights on College through downtown needs to be re-set or something. I drive that route 4 mornings a week at about 5:45 am and typically I will stop at a light at either 10th or 11th and from then on it's smooth sailing. Starting last week, the timing was off, and since then I've had to stop at as many as 5 intersections between 11th and 1st Streets. Just wanted to let you know! :) Thanks!

I work for IU Campus Bus Service. Saturday, we were driving a special service that necessitated that we use the new portion of Woodlawn Avenue. (Once the railroad crossing is complete, buses will go up and down Woodlawn Avenue from the Stadium to Campus and back about 70 times a day during the week.) I noticed that a vehicle was parked on Woodlawn just north of 14th St. on the east side of the street blocking the bike lane, but mostly out of the lane of car traffic. I also noticed there are no "No Parking" signs on this new stretch of Woodlawn. Can those be added to prevent people from parking here? Thank you.

I would like to request that a turn signal be added to the traffic lights at the 3rd Street and Woodscrest intersection for drivers on 3rd Street coming from the East who wish to turn South onto Woodscrest. There is already a turn signal on Woodscrest for drivers who are driving North and turn West onto 3rd Street, and that turn signal is extremely helpful. However, there is no turn signal on 3rd Street for people who wish to turn left onto Woodscrest after coming from the East, and as a result, the turn is very difficult and often even unsafe to make. Often times, drivers never have a chance to make a left turn while the light is green due to the often high traffic on 3rd street, and so the drivers are able to turn only when the light turns yellow. Adding a turn signal there would undoubtedly increase the safety for everyone at that intersection. Many of the other intersections on 3rd Street have traffic lights with left turn signals, even for both the East and West directions, and I don't think that the 3rd Street and Woodscrest intersection should continue to lack a turn signal for drivers turning left onto Woodscrest. The intersection of Smith road and 10th Street has heavy traffic, especially in the morning and during the rush hour. The fact that there is university elementary school nearby the intersection makes the traffic heavier at times. However, the intersection is controlled only by one way stop sign. The fact that around the intersection the road on the 10th Street curves makes the traffic coming from Smith road challenging to turn on the 10th street. I strongly recommend putting traffic lights on that intersection to avoid accidents and relax the traffic around the intersection.

Is there a way to level Allen St from the stop sign back about 50 feet at the Bloomfield Rd intersection? The slope causes accidents and near accidents. We've had 3 cars in our yard since we've been there. We've had to fix up the chain link fence best we could. In 2 situations, our gas meter was hit, which is a serious hazard. Alternatively, could Bloomfield Rd be made inaccessible from Allen St (either a one way or block it off)? Thank you for reading this. Sincerely, Theo

I would like this intersection to be "No Turn On Red" for northbound traffic, and possibly have a few seconds delay for pedestrians/bikes to cross before the light turns green. It's dangerous to have cars hooking around bikers in the bike lane trying to go straight across. Thanks!
