Our street has no street sign (or stop sign). I live in Winslow Crossing and we don't have a sign at the intersection of Henderson & S Walnut St Pike (nor do we have a stop sign leaving our neighborhood) and it has resulted in a lot of confusion in the slightly more than year I have lived here since I purchased 2851 S Walnut Street Pike. Included are friends/family being unable to locate the address (we have no neighborhood sign and my HOA when I contacted them is in no hurry to get one), when I called for a non-emergency police issue he couldn't find the neighborhood, packages have nearly been sent back or just plain delivered to the wrong address because my address "doesn't exist" (because they can't find it). So I'm wondering what it would take to get a street name sign and hopefully also a stop sign, installed at the main intersection to help with the confusion. Please let me know if there's anything I can do about this because it's becoming quite frustrating! Thank you, Denise J. Humphries

I submitted a report earlier this week, but have an address and a clearer picture of the problem area. This stretch of green is along Sare Road and is the responsibility of the owner of the address given. However, due to inattenttion, entering Sare Road from Spicewood Lane is hazardous to someone driving a car heading north. If you are in a truck or SUV, your line of sight is much better. There is now a great deal of traffic on Sare Road at all times during the day, traveling above the speed limit in many cases, that pulling out onto Sare Road is scary and dangerous.

Around 9:45am this morning, I walked out of the parking garage at 7th and Morton, out through the lower level of the garage onto 7th Street. As I was walking out onto the sidewalk, a minivan was driving east in the bike lanes! The driver and passenger seemed lost and realized they were in the wrong place. They stopped then crossed over a break in the weird curbing there to get back into a lane of traffic. They had driven from at least Morton halfway up the block before getting out of the bike lane. This is not the first time of numerous times I have witnessed vehicles driving in or parking in the 7th Street bike lane. Is there any way to add signs or markings that make this more obvious? Also, while we are here - on Monday I was downtown driving on Morton headed north and came to a stop at 7th Street. People are really confused by this intersection. A car from the west came to a complete stop. A car from the north on Morton decided to cross 7th in front of the stopped car from the west on Morton. A car coming down the hill from the east on 7th was not intending to stop, but had to due to this car in the intersection from the north on Morton that failed to yield to 7th Street traffic. Although, the randomly stopped car to the west on 7th acting like it was a four-way stop sign certainly made matters go awry. Essentially, the entire 7th Street bike lane system is a mess of poorly designed infrastructure. A friend was telling me about how the bike lane gets blocked at 7th and Woodlawn because of the college students getting on and off buses and the bus riders have to cross the bike lanes and often do not pay any attention. A perfectly good street has multiplied the potential for accidents and injuries with this "upgrade" that got installed.

It is increasingly difficult to exit the Blue Ridge neighborhood at the main entrance/exit at North Walnut. Traffic has increased and is going at a dangerous speed on North Walnut.

With the closure of Tapp Road intersection due to I-69 construction, a lot of traffic has been diverted on to the Tapp and Rockport Road intersection. Due to this there is a severe need for a traffic light at this intersection since now in the morning rush hour there is a long traffic backup on Rockport road towards coming into the city at the Tapp intersection. It would help if there was a four way traffic light added on this street so that it would help with the traffic pattern. -Concerned Citizen

There was construction on Sare Rd. a while ago and there is still a sign posted on our rd. There is no longer any construction so we are hoping the sign can be removed.

Hello, I am re-developing the property @ 3000 South Walnut. The location is where the former Southern Winds Hotel and Roosters club were located. The property at the beginning a workout facility and a chiropractors office. AS you pull out from the property and are going to turn left (North) and cross traffic, there are two trees located to the north on the side of the road. When cars are coming South and I am turning to the North, it is difficult to see whats coming and that is where the speed limit changes from 30 to 40mph, which is the place many seems to start speeding up. We will have more traffic than ever entering and leaving the property right from the beginning and even more as the property continues to be redeveloped overtime after the initial building and business's are active. A stop light right around there of course would be superb for the property but probably could never happen due to the traffic that occur that comes over the hill when people are traveling South down South Walnut. With that in mind I was hoping the two large trees could be taken down so it is much safer at that point because of the visibility that would open up. One tree is directly in from of the property and the other is directly in front on an older apartment complex that has around 10 apartments in it, it looks like. Would this be possible? Or maybe we could plant a couple new tress which would be much smaller and take several years to grow out? Of course that problem would show up again several years from now but it would take care of it presently for sevevral years. I am just worried about such a great new area being redeveloped for the area and future to have potential traffic issues with people being able to see when pulling out of the property. I am requesting speed bumps for Covenanter Drive, between College Mall Road and Clarizz Blvd. This is residential area with two large apartment complexes. It's also a heavily traveled road for buses, bikes and vehicles, as well, as pedestrians. Many use it as a way to cut through the area or to reach nearby apartment complexes, the mall, the large Kroger, or medical offices. Speeding is a concern. Line of sight can also be issue with two bus stops, curbside parking, the road's curve and change in elevation. I think speed bumps would help the issue, just like it has done on Covenanter Drive, going west from College Mall to High Street.

Why did you change the traffic flow of this roundabout? It use to flow very smooth. I drive northbound on Sare each day, and now that you have changed the flow, I wait each morning at the roundabout. When school starts, it will be a mess. When those apartments fill up and the rest of the Lakes is build, it will be much, much worse. Please consider changing it back to the way it was. Someone has too much time on their hands to change things like this, or else you have faulty data. It would have been nice if you asked for public comments before you changed it.
