Sidewalk Snow Removal
109-199 West 4th Street
- Case Date:
- 1/19/2018
Serendipity has not cleared their sidewalk.
Serendipity has not cleared their sidewalk.
On the NW corner of 10th and Forrest there is a hazardous situation. There is no sidewalk along Forrest, but there is on 10th. When someone is walking south on Forrest on the west side of the street, the person must walk in a grassy area that looks a bit like a sidewalk from a distance, though it is only grass. When that person gets to the intersection with 10th Street, there is a drop-off of about 4 inches to the 10th Street sidewalk that is unexpected and jarring. Perhaps a little ramp there would improve the situation, though the addition of a sidewalk along Forrest would be a more ideal remedy. It is not clear if this is a City or a Campus issue, so please forward if this request should be sent to IU instead.
Maybe a complex problem, but there is often standing water (rain or shine, but especially when it's been raining) on the sidewalk and the street in the block just east of Walnut on the south side of 12th Street. .
Sanitation crews reported that this address was left a notice and the trash was not collected due to the residents tearing the stickers in half. There are 20 to 25 bags of trash on the sidewalk. It is a real big mess!
Sidewalk has not been cleared of snow this winter. It is very hazardous walking and someone may get hurt very badly
No snow removal on a well traveled sidewalk near a busy avenue.
No snow removal on a busy aidewalk.
Large bush growing in the chain link fence between sidewalk and Carlisle property is blocking the sight line for drivers stopped at the Weatherstone stop sign for turn onto Woodlawn, cannot see oncoming traffic as it comes over the hill between Grimes and Weatherstone. Please see if that bush could be cut back or removed.
Large branch on sidewalk/path
In the past we have put in a complaint about the trees at mills pool. They need cut back. They hang way to low. Someone is going to put an eye out. Oh wait my son almost did. On July 15th my 12 year old son was walking on the sidewalk at the circle to go swimming. He turned his head and jammed a hanging tree branch into his left eye. His poor eye was red and draining and it hurt. We went to the dr the next day. He got some eye drops and they sent us to the eye dr. Had to wait till that wed. Unfortunately he can not swim for atleast a week. We have to get the open wound on his eye ball to heal up. I hope you take immediate action on this and keep on top of it from now on. This never should have happened. Those trees should never hang that low especially since we have put in a complaint on them before. Here is pictures of his poor little eye and the trees. Thank you in advance for taking care of this immediately before some one really .gets hurt
