I am the President of the Board of Trustees at Unity of Bloomington. Our parking lot is partially owned by us, and partially City property as the B-Line runs behind our building on S. Rogers & Gordon Pk. (We currently maintain the entire parking lot vis-a-vis snow removal etc.) Recent changes, especially in Switchyard Park, have precipitated a migration of unhoused persons south on the B-Line trail. The UoB parking lot has become a stop-over for derelict vehicles and we're experiencing a significant increase in loitering and trash. The Board of Trustees recognizes that this is an important ministry opportunity, and we are engaged in prayerful consideration of reasonable steps forward. In the meantime, we host a nursery school in our facility and safety is an ongoing concern. My current request is this: 1. Could we receive help from the City to secure a larger trash barrel than the small trail-sized container currently in place near our parking lot (and would it be up to us or the City to tend it)? 2. Could the City help by providing a cigarette butt receptacle for our parking lot? (My husband and I collected more than 100 cigarette butts from the Unity parking lot before services last Sunday) 3. Street tree downed in storm and blocks sidewalk

1701 s walnut. Tree on the street fell into the street. Tree was pushed into sidewalk. Pushed tree into house. Minimal damage to siding but branches caught under / on rubber roof and lifted it up causing leak. Was also pushed over water meter cover may have moved the pit That tree and brush has been hauled away.

There is a homeless camp that has formed on the sidewalk and curb. The area is a safety hazard with the open air drug market of Seminary Park across the street and now there's a mushrooming number of folks under the influence of drugs that are camped out around the clock on the sidewalk/curb.

Person has been living on the curb for roughly 10 days with several carts of belongings and a dog that jumps out barking at people as they walk by on the sidewalk. While the person generally stays on the part of the curb that is not the sidewalk, this can't be permitted to take place in a safe and civil city.

Two trash bins and a recycle were in front of my house blocking the sidewalk this morning (Wednesday). The bins are not mine. I moved them in front of 717 S. Park because I'm guessing that they belong there, but I'm not sure. The residents left town Sunday, our pickup day was Monday.
