Malcolm Abrams and I own the bungalow housing the Bloom Magazine office at 414 W 6th Street. The alley to our west (when facing the building) sees a surprising amount of traffic, both vehicular and pedestrian due in part to the location of the County probation department's testing office just north of us along the alley. The alley surface is in poor condition with ruts and uneven patches. The utilities department is in the process of repairing and resurfacing a portion of our lot and alley due to water line damage from AEG fiber installation. I've been told that the city will pave some well-used alleys when in disrepair. I'm wondering whether this alley would qualify particularly given that the paving equipment will be onsite already. There is a Detour sign across from Griffin Realty pointing north on College Ave. College Ave is one-way street going south. I have kept a spreadsheet of cars going the wrong way for several years. The number has increased tremendously during the month of August 2024. January - July 2024 I witnessed 18 vehicles driving the wrong way. In August there have been 25 vehicles driving the wrong way. I'm only at the office Monday-Friday from about 11:00 am to about 5:00 pm - so there are probably many more. It seems to me that something should be done about this. Thanks, Rachel LaGrange

Can you contact Tri North with concerns that they have cars line up for student pickup that block the entirety of the main accessible spaces by the office. I don't know an easy solution but there should be at least one available accessible space for those who need it.

Courts frequently full from people outside the neighborhood. Particularly paid coaches giving lessons. If someone wants to make money let them do it in a private court before taking all of the neighborhood courts for hours from local residents. Please change the policy. If already a policy please post it.

The last two Sunday mornings, there have been cars parked on the grass under the trees along the road to the parking lot. This morning there were three. They are compacting the soil where the tree roots are. If you want to discourage this, please post signs and/or move the limestone blocks closer to the road.

Other: There is offensive hate speech graffiti on the bypass B-Line trail (the trail across from the main B-Line trail light post 9 or so). There are multiple places where swastikas, swear words, and mentions of "white power" are spray painted on the paved trail. Please remove/cover this immediately.

Sometime in the evening of Wednesday, June 19th the glass office window of Old National Bank building was vandalized. It appears that a rock was thrown at the window causing extensive damage. We often experience damage to our property in a form of graffiti, trash, hazardous waste and destruction of signage.

Hi, I am hoping you can forward this to the appropriate person to address this concern. This weekend I was biking with my son, going east on 1st St and entering Rogers-Binford campus by the playground. We were approaching the trail connection at the end of 1st street east of High St and I was largely focused on the road because it's a bit bumpy there. At the last second I realized there was a metal chain stretched halfway across the trail. I was able to slam on my brakes and skid to a stop, but it was quite a close call. The chain is not particularly visible and wasn't there the last time we went through. We came very close to getting hurt, and it seems likely that someone will get hurt if it stays as is. Someone going through at night is going to be in for a rough surprise. I understand you probably put the vertical post on a tire in the middle of the trail to discourage cars from driving through there and that seems fine, but please (please!) don't stretch a chain across the trail. Or if there's some critical reason that the chain is there, then at least hang a bunch of large bright flags from it or something. Thank you! - RS
