Hello, we live in Sherwood Oaks and there is not a safe way to get to the biking trail starting on Rhorer at Walnut Street Pike. People are often walking or biking up the last two blocks of Walnut Street Pike to reach that connection. It's not safe. We'd be so grateful if the sidewalk could be completed on the East Side of Walnut Street Pike between Rhorer and Heather Drive. This would allow people to access Kroger and the Rail Trail more safely. Other wishlist items are paving the rail-trail that connects the B-Line and Clear Creek Trail,and extending sidewalks along Rhorer all the way from Walnut Street Pike to Sare (or at least to Benson). It would also be nice if the sidewalk along the East Side of Walnut Street Pike extended all the way from Rhorer to Winslow, but finishing a sidewalk on the E or W side of Walnut Street Pike between E. Heather and Rhorer is really essential to pedestrian and biker safety. We love all of the investments we're seeing Bloomington making in parks, recreation and infrastructure. We really value this as a family with young children. We're just surprised how patchy the sidewalks surrounding our neighborhood are, with some suddenly stopping (Walnut Street Pike + Rhorer) and others reworked only to a certain point (example biking from Winslow Plaza east to Highland or Allendale is challenging). This makes it difficult to access all of the new paved biking/walking trails that connect to the Rail Trail and B-Line. Trash left sitting out on curb at all times in the 500 block of S Highland Ave (between Hunter Ave and 2nd St on the east side of the street). Trash becomes scattered on the sidewalk. Attracting unwanted wildlife (raccoons, possums, skunks) in the area and is unpleasant to neighbors.

Trash and recycling containers are constantly being left on side of Rogers Street (and on sidewalk) days after collection.

A large 'Envirosac' filled with waste concrete from a sidewalk repair has been sitting for weeks in the tree plot next to the sidewalk at 535 S. Wash. There is also a lot of gravel and other debris still covering the sidewalk in the repair area. It is a safety hazard, as well as making our neighborhood less attractive.

Two trash bins and a recycle were in front of my house blocking the sidewalk this morning (Wednesday). The bins are not mine. I moved them in front of 717 S. Park because I'm guessing that they belong there, but I'm not sure. The residents left town Sunday, our pickup day was Monday.

The trash/recycling crew left most all cans thrown off the sidewalk, into the road on their sides today. This is not normally the case, and it was absolutely NOT weather related. The trucks woke me up three times today. And then I find my trash can only half emptied, with one bag still in it. Either the trucks are malfunctioning, or someone was in a bit of a hurry to get done with the route.
