Inaccessible Parking
110 S Overhill DR
- Case Date:
- 9/1/2025
Guests park along the front of the property poorly which blocks other residents from moving around their vehicles safely due to poor visibility and turning radius while backing out of the driveway. They are aware the trouble it causes but still continue to park there.
Also creates big blind spot hazard and has led to many close calls with vehicles going up and down the street due to forced single lane passageway.
Request a new Street Light

Hi I hope you are doing well! I commute home via scooter and I get home well after dusk. When there is no more natural light in Bloomington, this area gets pitch black. This is dangerous because even with a bike light, you are still riding into a yield sign and a dead end. Some unlucky person will miss it and hurt themselves.
Also, another reason for a street light is because it is the only section of 7th street that does not have one⦠or one that works. ESPECIALLY with the speed bumps and the curb coming out to meet the speed bump, it is impossible to see.
Thank you for your consideration and I hope we both can contribute to a safer Bloomington!

This building has had a rat infestation for the past 10 years. The building is managed by Granite Student Living. There are bait traps placed around the building but these have not been helping. The rats are coming into the house, they are in the walls, and they are even entering living spaces through holes in the floor and holes in cabinets. The rat population at this location is growing due to the condition of the dumpster on site (see attached photo). The dumpster sits open with no lid, is often overflowing, and sits inside a wooden structure that the rats are using to climb up and into the dumpster. The house itself has not been completely sealed up from the outside to take away access points either. Additionally, there is no lighting in the back parking lot between the house and the dumpster, which creates an environment for rats to thrive, and also presents a safety concern for tenants. Granite has been made aware of these concerns but they have already stated "there are no plans to change lighting or the trash situation." Please have this matter looked into.
