Given that we are all house-bound and many of us are taking advantage of this to begin our spring yard clean up early, could the city move yard waste pick up to one week earlier? We have done so much work that our garage is full of bags and would love to do more, but are limited because we have to wait two weeks for the regularly scheduled April 13 pick up. It would be a great service to the community to have this early start and encourage more of us to get outside which is much healthier than staying in, beautifying our city while following stay-at-home orders. For motorists traveling south on Hawthorne, a 'long haired' bush on the north side of First St, just east of Hawthorne, obscures view of cars traveling west on First St. I travel this way each day and have had close calls when surprised by a westbound car as I was turning left on First when I thought it was clear to do so.
