Bradford Pears (invasive species) located at Monroe Water Treatment Plant. The two trees are located at the discharge point of a surface drain. More importantly, the trees are located directly adjacent to the Hoosier National Forest, which is just a mere 50ft away (across Shady Side Dr). Currently, the trees are bearing fruit. It appears that these fruits' seeds have the opportunity to traverse the slope and end up in our watershed, tainting the Hoosier National Forest, as an invasive species. The trees should be removed ASAP, as part of the City's initiative to systematically remove Bradford Pear trees from public property. Given the proximity to the National Forest and in the confines of the Lake Monroe watershed, this is a priority site.

Cafe Thistle has a flag that is blocking the sidewalk. It would be disorienting for a blind person to run into.
Street Trees

A limb on a walnut tree appears to be damaged and is hanging low over the street. The tree is about halfway between Roosevelt and Jefferson on the north side of the pedestrian path where Fourth Street would be. The second of the two large limbs extending south from the tree appears to be slightly fractured above street level. Not sure if it poses any immediate danger, but I don't think the end of that limb used to be so close to the ground.

Dear Parks and Recreation Department,
We live in the residential neighborhood just across the street from Upper Cascades Skate Park. This is the second time a large group of cars and motorcycles has gathered there. During these gatherings, the motorcycles and vehicles repeatedly drive up and down Kinser Pike well beyond the posted speed limit, creating excessive noise from their engines and tailpipes.
This disturbance has been quite disruptive to our household. We have a nine-month-old baby who struggles to sleep even with our windows closed (which we shouldn’t have to close due to this disturbance), and our dog becomes frightened by the loud popping sounds.
If this group has obtained a permit for these activities, I respectfully request that Parks and Recreation notify nearby residents in advance so we can prepare accordingly. If they do not have a permit, or if this is a recurring event, I urge the department to reconsider allowing such gatherings out of consideration for those who live in the surrounding area.
This is now the second occurrence; after the first, we had hoped it would not happen again.
Thank you for your time and attention to this matter.
