Highland Street, just below East First Street, huge ice slick in the western half of the road. We tried spreading salt on it just now and maybe that will help a little but thought you should know.

A section of the wood fence at the Howe St entrance to the Buildings and Trade Park was taken down when the city cut down one of the trees along the street. It has been 2 months and the pieces of the fence are still where they were left on the ground. In true broken window fashion someone has now broken down the far end of the fence. This should have been repaired long ago.

I deliver papers in the Gentry Honors neighborhood. There may be a water line break/leak near the intersection of Fenbrook and Sara, just past the stop sign. It's near a new home construction but beside an empty lot. There is a layer of ice about 5 inches thick and covering a portion of the street to the storm drain. It appears to be coming from the grassy/wooded area but is not normal runoff from rain, I think--I've never seen that much water run and it's getting bigger by the day. Just wanted to lyk in case it's a city water issue.

At the intersection of Patterson and Rogers, the traffic signal does not allow adequate time for the north/south traffic to move through the light. At peak traffic times, I rarely get through the light without sitting through at least two red lights; frequently it takes three red lights before I get through. There is considerable North/South traffic on Rogers, but the light does not allow that traffic to move in a expeditious manner. The East/West traffic on Patterson/Grimes has more than adequate time to move through the vehicles. Can this light be adjusted to better serve the actual traffice patterns at peak traffic times?

Neighbors have reported graffiti on garage overhead door. House belongs to my uncle Ronald L. Buck. House is currently not occupied. Address is 401 E 1st street. Garage is North of house. Can you please check it out to see if it is a gang symbol or something else that might be sinister. I am going to try to get to Bloomington this weekend to attempt to remove or cover it up. A crosswalk with lights was put in on Henderson (near Brenda Lane & Templeton Elem School) some time ago, but the lights on the sign are too subtle for motorists to notice. At least once per week I have to put my arm out into the crosswalk to get a motorists attention to stop. The signs are around 10 feet off the ground--well above the eye level of motorists; and the lights on the vertices of the pentagonal sign are tiny and give off insufficient light. You need lights that are impossible to miss and at eye level. The city has lights just like this on Washington at E Smith Ave (beside the Allison-Jukebox Center). They are at eye level and you can see them from three blocks away.
