I started taking shower at about 6:10 am this morning Friday Oct 8th. Turned both hot and cold water on in tub so temperatures stabilize- after about 1min the water suddenly turned black with some "glop" that came out of tub faucet. Water gradually cleared after about 30 to 45 sec.
I just read the article where you're using a coconut powder treatment in the water. My wife is highly allergic to coconut. What are we supposed to do!? Whose stupid idea was this? Is there a way for us to filter this out? I mean we've ended up in the hospital before because she consumed coconut oil in food that we didn't know was in there. This is serious for us. Please stop this process. Help!
I just read an article stating that you are putting coconut powder in the water in Bloomington. I am SUPER allergic to coconut and I know others that are as well. I'd love NOT to have allergy attack just drinking water! I strongly think this should be changed! Please don't affect my health and others.
I visit friends in Bloomington and I'm allergic to coconut! Why would you introduce an allergen to the water. Now I have to pack in all the water I'm going to use during a visit. Terrible decision.
Is there any chance people with coconut allergies will be affected with the coconut powder added to the water treatment?

My sister is severely allergic to tree nuts, which includes coconut. She will be visiting during the holidays and I’m concerned about her using our water while here. Water quality has gotten extremely bad the last week. We (Starbucks store #02387) monitor our water filtration system regularly and normally need to change the filter every 3-4 months (filters are rated to last up to 6 months but they ask us to change them once they become "latte colored"). Saturday 6/28, we found that our water filter was nearly completely black despite being only 1 month old. We changed the filter on Sunday 6/29 and within 24 hours it had already turned "latte colored" (tan). By Tuesday 7/1, it had already turned a dark brown and we had our water filtration system contractor Icee come out and check over the system, run a refresh, and change all changeable parts. Today, Saturday 7/5, the filter is back to being a dark brown color. We are concerned about what is in the water coming through our system and for those around us consuming tap water.
