The Project School of
Bloomington is having a performance at the MCPL tonight, in their auditorium of sorts. The school previously encouraged parents to let their children sit in the aisles in lieu of seats(or in laps) to account for how packed they would be. At the performance, there are indeed children sitting in the aisle and making an emergency exit a lot more dangerous than it should be. Perhaps the occupancy limit hasn’t been reached, but it doesn’t seem ok for this to happen, especially considering they dim the lights and the only exits are down those stairs.

There is an area close to the entrance where water gathers. It becomes slippery and yesterday was slimy and stinky. Could it be filled with dirt or stone to avoid this. Dogs were rolling in it and really stinky. Also seems a health hazard.

There is a dog off leash at the foundation of the old shelter house that was torn down. There really needs to be an animal control person at the park from time to time. Or security.

You mentioned the new traction strips on North side of Bryan Park. I think they r very bad because they are too tall and make walking/jogging hurt the feet and ankles due to height and are too “ bumpy” because of height. They should be flatter to not interfere. I’d recommend removing. I purposely now avoid that bridge or walk in grass
