Just wanted to take the time to think you fine folks for waiting to close down Rogers Street by centerstone till after the college kids came back now you have traffic from Walnut Street all the way past the liquor store on 2nd Street by 45 minute trip from there to Kroger's. I'm sure you guys were voting on some raises or something like that but thanks a lot

A Lime e-bike has been parked on the sidewalk since the Labor Day weekend (Saturday). Can the neighbors and I bring it somewhere so it is no longer a hazard? To Switchyard Park? Also, what is the town of Bloomington's law regarding how long these rented vehicles can remain abandoned on a public sidewalk? And if a pedestrian is injured by this e-bike while blocking the sidewalk, would the law go after the town of Bloomington, the entity that has legalized this type of vehicle's use? Previously, there was an e-bike on my neighbor's front lawn for six weeks. My neighbor should be given a form of payment for use/rental of the front lawn for the vehicle's storage. ELIDA C. There has been a problem with people burning trash and yard waste in the near west side neighborhood nearly daily all summer and into this beginning of the fall season. The smoke often collects in some areas and lingers for hours causing a serious public health threat. Frequently the burning is conducted by a community of homeless people in the woods between W 8th and 9th Starts and the Monon trail just East of Adams Street, although therr may occasionally be other residents who are burning as well. Various neighbors have mad numerous calls to 911, but the problem persists. You may also reference the near west side neighhood association website to reference other complaints. While the fire department has come out to talk to the perpetrators numerous times, the City of Bloomington needs to find a permanent solution, since this is a serious public health problem that has been going on for a very long time, and sending the fire department does not resolve the problem.

The cans of trash are completely full and now they are overflowing onto the ground. There is a strong stench coming from the cans and the area in general.

There is a small area on the side of the road that has crumbling asphalt, which contributes to the storm water drainage issues as rocks get dropped into the drain after significant rain. Crews have patched areas along the street over the years, might be worth a review.
