There is a homeless camp developing in the woods on North Summit Street, between W 11th St and W Cottage Grove Ave. We live right next door on W Cottage Grove Ave. There are mountains of trash accumulating, used syringes on the ground, broken glass, yelling and screaming at all hours of the day and night, people loitering in the middle of the street so people can't get through, people changing in the street, broken glass, and numerous inoperable vehicles taking up the entire street that some are living in, in addition to the tents. I understand this may be private property, but given that we got a fine simply for our trash bin accidentally being outside an extra day, there has to be something that can be done. We will continue to report it and report it until it is handled effectively. I do not feel safe or comfortable going to and from my house or walking my dogs, and there are several children that live in this vicinity. The Boys and Girls Club and Middle School are right down the road. I know the homeless issue is rampant in Bloomington and there were two recent homeless campsite evictions. In the news, one of the homeless men interviewed said they were just going to move further down the B-Line. Well, here they are. This isn't safe or sanitary and is disturbing the peace of mind of the hardworking individuals who actually live here.

Wish list: We would love a fence around the baseball diamond! Currently balls often get lost in the tall grass/trees and roll down the hill. If a fence is not possible, could a perimeter mound be built so that when balls near the end of the field they slow down and don't go further. On the tennis court, a solo practice bounce wall would also be awesome so that kids/adults could play alone if a partner is not available. Lastly, could a pet dish attachment be added on the water fountain.

ihitPolly Grimshaw Trail (east portion near tennis court) has numerous bumps that are hazards to bikes at speed (coming down the hill at night. Hello, I am wondering if there is anything the city can do to slow traffic heading west on Rogers toward High Street. There are pedestrian crossing signs and a flashing yellow light near the traffic circle at High Street, but this doesn't stop drivers from flying down the hill at dangerous speeds, and it's difficult for them to see people waiting to cross near the traffic circle. At least there is a crossing guard here in the morning and the afternoon during the school months. My major concern is that many drivers don't stop or even slow down for the pedestrian crossing at Rogers/The Stands Dr., and many people travel at 40+ mph here. My kids (and many others) walk and bike here all the time and I constantly worry about them because of the speeds at which people drive. Speed humps or rumble strips might help here. I would really appreciate it if the city would investigate and come up with a solution (and I'm sure many others would as well). Thank you.

Gigabit or AES or their contractors are installing fiber optic cable or something such as that. Will they be repairing all the grass from the holes and tracks from the heavy equipment?

Gigabit or Giga-something installed fiber optics in the neighborhood. The holes they dug in the grass were not repaired. After advising them of the situation they came out to "repair" the grass. The soil was filled with rocks and gravel. There were no grass seeds in the soil. I spent a whole day picking rocks and gravel out of the soil, buying top soil, and grassseed to fix this. The ground is no longer level and there's also rather gouges or chunks in sidewalks and curbs. The road had preexisting, but plugged pot holes near the Sare entrance, but now those potholes are open again and expanding.

Hello, ticket 193145 is showing as closed, however the work has not been done. Here is the request: "Please repair potholes along Sare between Jackson Creek Middle School and Canada Drive. Cars swerve to miss them and trucks and trailers make a great deal of noise bumping around on these. Thank you." Please please repair these potholes.

Street lights are out on E Third St and S Washington St, E Smith Ave and S Washington, and E Second St and S Washington St. Every street lamp on S Washington has been out since at least the beginning of September. The entire street is pitch black at night and it creates a very unsafe environment for when I and other residents on or around S Washington walk home.
