Revisiting closed cases #188519, 188925, 188988, all concerning 1709 E Circle Drive. Citations have been issued, but the yard is still as unkempt as it was (and worse) since it was first reported on May 19, 2024. Also, branches are still overhanging and hit my car antenna when I go around the curve towards Eastside Drive. If you give me a valid reason why this is acceptable, I will stop bugging you about these 2 things.
I play in the adult softball league at the Twin Lakes ballfields. It has been storming with heavy rains since 7:00 this evening (Tuesday). As of 9:00pm tonight, the weather hotline still says "all games at all locations are on at all locations.....check back for updates". Obviously there is going to be no game tonight for anybody. C'mon guys, please at least update your voicemail for those of us that check that message and hurry to Twin Lakes only to find that it's flooded and nobody is there. This is the second time this has happened to my team this summer season....bad weather with no voicemail update. This is becoming a real problem, please do better.
Hello, I work at Teach and Play ABA and it’s owned by Sara Shrivastav. She sent us an email in regards to the fire safety issues that she was made aware of and she hasn’t any intentions of making changes as of right now. I’m concerned because we’ve already had a fire in the facility and it was very poorly handled. I’m worried for the safety of myself, coworkers and children at the facility. She wrote us an email saying we are not allowed to let you in the building and it’s just very concerning to me. She has already opened two more facilities and they also don’t have sprinklers or fire alarms and I ultimately just want to make sure we’re in a safe environment. I’m also not sure if it’s structurally sound. She did a lot of the remodeling by herself so if there’s anyway someone could check that and make sure things are up to standard because she had mercury lightbulbs which caused the first fire, I would really appreciate that. Thank you for taking the time to address my concerns regarding this matter.
I am an employee of Teach and Play ABA owned by Sara Shrivastav and I am aware that she has been told that she needs to put sprinklers and fire alarms in the facility for our safety and the children’s safety, but she has still not done that and as far as I know she has no plans to and is not taking it seriously. We have already had a fire in the building and there was 0 plan in place and was not done up to standard which makes me very concerned for the safety of myself and the children we serve. If you’re able to come as soon as possible I would appreciate that. I am choosing to submit anonymously because I don’t want to risk losing my job for reporting, but it is a safety issue that I believe needs to be addressed immediately. Light Trespass. Ongoing problem. The city has investigated before and confirmed light trespass. The large carriage lights on the east of the house porch are nonconforming with city code, they are unshielded, and are left on all night, as well, and there is light trespass on the neighboring property.This has been verified by a site visit by the city, measured on the neighboring property. Please enforce this. The light trespass is a continuing problem and it is disruptive to neighbors, as well as being a circadian rhythm disruptor. Apparently the house is unoccupied currently, and in a misguided effort to make the house look occupied, the exterior lights are left on all night. Thank you for enforcing the city code, and stopping this violation and nuisance immediately.
