Why is the note for Labor Day nonsensically phrased differently from the others? What meaning am I to make of it? That's pretty infuriating. Don't send my some blathery response. The green street sign at the intersection of W. Jed Street and Rogers Street has been vandalized (someone made it say 'JEDI Street' on the sign). While this is a pretty cool name the right name on the street needs to be there. Please have this sign fixed or repaired back to W. Jed St. Thank you, Paul
There is a discarded television sitting on the sidewalk on S. Walnut on either the 900 or 1000 block. It's on the east side of the street, roughly across from Bloomington Powersports. It has been there for many weeks now, so I think it abandoned, and I'm concerned it will eventually break and leave glass everywhere.
The left-turn light on the northbound direction of Sare Rd, at E. Moores Pike has been malfunctioning for several weeks. It always provides a left-turn light, whether or not a car is in the left-turn lane.
The "lost animals" section of the Shelter webpage is really a pain to navigate. Why aren't these just in a set of bulleted entries? You have to keep popping open one description at a time, then using the Back button to go back, scroll to where you left off, pop open another one . . . I just found a lost cat, and trying to go through these descriptions is making me crazy!
I wanted to ask the city to consider re-repairing the section of the Rails to Trails trail between the roundabout near Church Lane and Country Club road. Whoever attempted to "repair" that section several weeks ago either did not know what they were doing or did not care. I actually watched them put the initial layer of loose gravel down and it was obvious that the workers had never done that kind of thing before on a trail. The loose gravel used to "repair" some low spots has become a "death trap" for unsuspecting bikers. I am an experienced biker and almost went down on my mountain bike. An attempt was made to cover this loose gravel with a mixture of crushed and packed limestone, but that has become a bumpy mess. PLEASE get someone to properly repair this section before someone is seriously injured.
The intersection of South walnut/South walnut street pike and winslow is a two way stop when it absolutely needs to be a four way or have a light. During heavy traffic periods in the evening the intersection is impossible to cross or navigate and is extremely unsafe. Please do something about this awful intersection.
City bus is AGAIN zipping through Park ridge east this evening. Is a residential neighborhhood not a place to make up lost time. Around 7 pm
Is there a reason there is NO sidewalk on Indiana Avenue on either side of the street from 15th St. going north to the IU Credit Union property? It is dangerous to walk that stretch of street without a sidewalk available.
