Yard Waste

Case Date:
3/15/2022

Cars parked in the road, junk cars and junk falling into the road. People sleeping in cars. People dragging trash from all over town to this house and the one at the end of the road on North st. The trailer at the end of the road has taken up the round about that was once there and a little road to the left that was once there. Homeless and such walking through 656 North st yard between JB Salvage and wake up property that sits behind JB Salvage. People living back they're dragging trash back there. They have been asked to stop but they continue to do it. I have had several Nails in my tires because of them dragging junk up and down the road. We have called the city, parking enforcement, HAND, Fire chief because it has become a fire hazard. Something really needs to be done with these two properties. I'm pretty sure they are dealing drugs over there also. Once you leave Fountain Street and turn on Gray Street it's like you're in a whole new dimension I cannot believe the trash that's back here. That trash can there is fine. It's across the street where we have issues. They block the road with their traffic. There r so many issues!!!

Case Date:

The pavement is tore up on S Laura Way. It's a 6 ft by 2 ft section right at the bottom of a steep incline. The debris area is even greater. This is at the bottom of a steep hill on a much-used, signed bicycle route. It's in front of the house with address 3823 S Laura Way.

Debris Removal (Sand, General Street Debris)

400 S Faculty Ave, Bloomington, IN 47401, USA

Case Date:
3/15/2022

Would it be possible to send street sweeper back down this block this week before students are back. They came last week but there were cars parked on the street and were unable to clean sweet gum balls from the east side of the street. Right now the only car out there is mine and I will gladly move it if sweepers return. Thank you!

Sidewalk & Curb Complaints

Bloomington City Hall, 401 N Morton St, Bloomington, IN 47401, USA

Case Date:
3/15/2022

Hello, I am the facilities manager of Trinity Episcopal Church (111 s Grant Street). A while back our gas meter was moved by (then Vectren) in conjunction with the Culvert work that is ongoing by Milestone. They moved the meter from the back of our building where it was safe - to the corner where it is in a precarious position. In doing so they have compromised the sidewalk, causing the corner to crack and one of the metal plates to raise up forming a lip - which has been reported to me as being a tripping hazard. I've asked numerous times to have the area addressed (specifically the meter itself) and have been ignored by (now) Centerpoint. The sidewalk deterioration is just the latest part of the failure to sensibly relocate that meter in a safe manner. Does the Street department address this? And who can I talk to about the meter itself? It is exposed to Traffic traveling through the alley and will be damaged at some point by a large truck. If you folks could assist me in this - Trinity Episcopal Church sure would be grateful. Thanks for your time, Kevin Burdeshaw Facilities Manager

Trash

500 S Arbutus DR

Case Date:
3/14/2022

The city's garbage and recycling trucks are tearing up the circular median between 500 and 501 South Arbutus because they are too large to turn around in the cul-de-sac. I have reported this issue several times. I can arrange with the other residents of our street to put all of our garbage and recycling bins on either the east or west side of the street (whichever is preferred by the truck drivers) to make this easier so that they can back in or back out of the street rather than trying to turn around. Please let me know if you would like for us to do this.
