Parking meters in this parking lot are not working, i.e., you cannot pay fees using parking meters. A lot of people leave their cars without paying because they see that the meters are defective. Then, it becomes, a classic scam: meters do not work - people have no way to pay - people leave their cars and get a ticket - appeal gets rejected and people have to pay fees. There is a difference between people not paying parking fees and people not being able to pay because the parking equipment was faulty, see the scam scheme above.

We got the tiniest bit off trail and saw from a distance, a skeleton draped on a tree, after getting closer we saw it was a deer skeleton but thought you guys might want to move it since it’s so close to the trail (it’s on the trail portion that would’ve went to where the old tire swing was before it was taken down)

There is a rotting deer carcass in the lake, right on the shore near the west north shore trail. I believe it was shot during the annual hunt but it was never collected. My sister is an ecologist and says that it should be removed from the lake to prevent e coli contamination. It is extremely pungent and can be located just by the smell. I have also tied a small green trash bag on a small tree along the trail, just uphill from the carcass.
