I was in downtown Bloomington this weekend. There is no parking lines to know which meter I needed to pay. It was quite confusing. If I knew I could included a photo I would have. Please mark the parking spots so they align with parking meters.
kids are being dropped off directly onto South High St while drivers (parents?) are stuck in traffic. With the exception of the well staffed and operated crossings, the stretch from the traffic circle to the school entrance has become an unsafe free for all. Back ups during drop off and pick up extend from school parking lot onto high st,then up E Rogers and E Winslow. Not an easy place to flow that many cars and people but creating a safer situation should be considered.
The E Southdowns Drive sign is missing where the street intersects with High Street. Also, the street signs at the intersection of E Southdowns Dr and Circle Dr are missing.
Many cars heading North and South on Hillsdale are exceeding the 25 MPH speed limit, making it dangerous for pedestrians, bicyclist, and cars backing out of driveways. I'm not sure what the best solution for this is.
The bike lanes and sharrows on 3rd St near campus have peeled off the pavement and need to be repainted.

The stop sign for traffic heading south on High Street at Maxwell Lane has been obscured by greenery along the road in front of the sign. Several cars have blown through the intersection this week, and we hear the screeching of tires in a panic stop at least 2-3 times per day. The greenery before that sign, and the one at High and Covenanter, needs to be cleared out.

Dear Government, I have been living here for about 13 years, and in this time it has become clear to me that there is a problem at the intersection between Rusgan Drive and Ramble Road West. You see this intersection has been my bus stop for years, and whether it's the dark of morning when I leave or daylight when I get back people speed right by as if there were no speed limit. This is only made worse by the fact that the intersection is half blind because it lies at the bottom of a small hill. So for the well being of myself and the children of the neighborhood I am requesting that this intersection be changed to a three way stop. I believe this would force the people of the neighborhood to drive at a more reasonable speed and therefore make my street much safer. I believe my neighbor across the street, the father of a small child, previously wrote the city requesting the same thing. I myself am just a teenager. So you know that once the problem has reached the point where a teenager takes time where they could have been doing nothing to write the city about traffic regulation, it's probably not just nothing. And considering others have written about this in the past, I frankly find it foolish to wait until someone actually gets hurt to take action. Thank you for your time and consideration, P.S. Traffic heading south on Smith Rd continues to be backed up all the way to the intersection of 10th St and Smith due to the 4-way stop sign intersection at Smith and Morningside and the stop light at Smith and 3rd St. Cars turning left do not have a green turn signal and must wait until traffic going in the opposite direction is clear, causing major back ups. Many vehicles turn left onto 3rd St heading east so a green turn arrow really is needed, along with a turn lane.
