Abandoned vehicle parked facing south on Fairview St. This vehicle has been parked on the cross section of W. 6th St. & Fairview St. for approximately 7 days which during that time has not moved. We suspect it to have been abandoned by a patron of Juanitas restaurant perhaps.

I am looking to purchase a street parking pass for 2019-2020 school year. I am a student living on S. Fess. Our landlord has informed us that we will need to contact the city to acquire these passes. any information you can provide would be much appreciated!

Hi - On July 26, 2019 I tried using the Park Mobile app and got a message “Your account is suspended”. Apparently my credit card had expired so I deleted the card and added back a valid card, but still got the message. I gave up on the app and paid $1 into the meter. Yet, I was still charged the $1.50 by Park Mobile so apparently the app started a session for me without notifying me. Interestingly I never had to cancel the parking session (since I didn't know I had one). I submitted a trouble ticket to Park Mobile (also July 26), and finally today (approx 6 weeks later), finally got a response from them that they have no responsibility for refunds. It's only $1.50 for me, but I'm sure other Bloomington citizens are getting charged for an error in the app. I'd personally also like my $1.50 refunded please.
Also, the current approach for requiring the user to manually stop the parking or get charged for 12 hours feels like a bit of a revenue scam. Not sure if that's Bloomington policy or Park Mobile, but I'd like to see it changed to allow the user to pre-set the timeframes. I've used Park Mobile in other cities and you can pre-set how many hours you would like to park and then update as you go if needed.

I just paid on line a bill for a parking citation I have never seen. I just received Notice of Overdue Citation. It would seem fair to receive and see the Citation before I am unable to appeal or threats of being sent to a collection agency. At this point It seems I have to trust the citation is real and not something made up by a local government. Was the violation in a no parking zone, was the meter not fed, was the meter broken or not accepting payments. Seems as if the rate for the violation is steep depending on the circumstance which I do not know. Policing for profit may be the way Bloomington pays for city services. Lastly, the comment I will likely make about your city when asked will not involve my student's education and life experiences when schooling in your city but rather the gouging and threatening over a citation that was unknown to me.

This is the SECOND time I'm bring this issue to the City's attention. The person who has a private parking spot at 521 W Smith Avenue refuses to park within the white lines (parking ON the lines does not cut it; either the person is totally unaware of his vehicle location, or he refuses to follow the law and compromises the safe travel along this little run of Smith Ave. e.g. makes it problematic for city sanitation, UPS/USPS/FedX, and emergency vehicles. (I would include a photo of his current "on the line" parking which is about two feet away from his limestone wall e.g. PLENTY of extra space to ease out of the middle of the street, but you get the the 'picture'. Again, this is my second request to move the City into action. A small problem, but it represents a long-standing disregard or manipulation for/of the law. And as I said before, I spoke with this person directly and encouraged him to park between the lines.)

There is a truck parts at the end of a street near a cul-de-sac (village court). with a bunch of trash and other debris piled above bed of the truck. The truck itself has a completely flat tire and is off of the rim. It has been parked like that for at least a week probably two or more without moving.
The truck does not have license plates on it.

There are many cars parked on the street in front of this house. Some park on both sides of street (going wrong way) which hardly leaves enough room for a car to get through. An emergency vehicle could not. They have a long driveway and parking at back but there are always at least 3 cars parked on street. One is a white pickup truck. House next to it (502 Clover Terr) also park on street which is right on curve where you turn in to Clover Terrace from Cascades Ave. They also have a driveway.
