Please comply with Municipal code Chapter 6.06 - GARBAGE AND WEEDS ​The Street Department has told me repeatedly that Habitat St extends fully in front of 1417 W Habitat St, and the City of Bloomington will never reliquish right of way. Chance may have told City officials that the property is completely his, but he had converted both the front and back of his lot to his own needs. The Indiana Railroad cleared his stuff off their right-of-way; the story was in the papers. The City did not check about the trash with adjacent property owners at 1407 or 1419 West 8th St. In any case there are uncovered metal trash cans on City property, as well as a used tire. His trash still lines Habitat Street and the back of lot 1419 W 8th St. I have not been able to enjoy my back yard for years, and I anticipate another fine crop of mosquitoes to breed there each year, due to City inaction. Resident Miklos Santorini contacted the Office of the Mayor's Facebook page in October detailing the presence of medical waste at 718 S. Rogers. Santorini stated that, "This building is part of the hospital complex. There has been a build up of of trash, garbage and even bodily fluid specimens behind the dumpster there for over 2 years. I have tried contacting the hospital about this, but the PR people say it's a problem with the waste hauler, not them." Our intern contacted HAND at that time. A rep from HAND stated that they would be sending a neighborhood compliance officer over to take a look. Santorini contacted us again today (Jan 29, 2019) about the same property stating that, "...there is a buildup of medical waste around the dumpster. Vials of blood and urine, etc. I walked by today and it is still there, just more rotten and frozen. Does anyone in the city have the ability to at least check this out and maybe have it cleaned up?"

Rental, it looks like a trash dump. Lots of complaints over last three years. They clean up a little every time then it gets worse every time. It’s too bad you bureaucrats are not elected because no one is ever held accountable. Can I sue the city for not holding up ordinances. Please do something about this once and for all.

Lots of cardboard boxes that are falling apart have been sitting in the yard at 1709 Circle Drive near the corner of Eastside Drive for weeks now.

Case #167236 has not been resolved. 1718 Circle Drive: a green tarp and a bunch of sticks and branches have been sitting in the yard for weeks now. Maybe the empty trash cans are still there too. Do we have to wait until yard waste collection resumes in April before that yard waste is removed? It should be bundled and put aside the house, and the green tarp folded and put out of sight. Thank you.

Live at 508 E 14th Street where we received a warning for trash totes at curb. They do not belong to us. Please advise.
