304 Hopewell. There are bicycle parts, engines and transmissions, oils on city street (Habitat St.) Behind the house there is an air conditioner and a host of things not intended for outdoor use. Please get on this.
The property at 304 Hopewell has not been cleaned up what’s going on? Are you related to the grubs? The person named Joe came out to three or four Hopewell answering I complain about car engines and transmissions and junk along habitat street on city property. Oil and transmit mission fluid all over the street. Junk piled in yard what’s going on? City person told them to put tarps over all the junk. 8 foot easement piled up with junk. Will T-man said property values her with all the neighbors junk send a mayor to our house on Saturday.I talked to the mayor personally last summer he said he would get it cleaned up Philip and Kay Chance can
Trash piled up alongside east side of house, 316 E. 7th St.
Time to check 304 Hopewell junkyard again. More junk has shown up and the engines are still next to the street. Is there anything else that can be done?
This report is in reference to serious overgrowth on a City right-of-way on the corner of N. Oolitic St. and W. 11th St. The property that this right-of-way is connected to is 1508 W. 11th St. The owner of this property is/was Joseph E. Day. However, he is recently deceased. At this time, the property is in the process of repossession by BB&T Bank. I know that in usual circumstances, Joe may have been responsible for the care of this area. However as I stated, he is now deceased. I have been trying to contact BB&T Bank - I actually may have an interest in purchase of the property since I own the vacant adjoining lots - but have gotten absolutely no response. In the mean time, the overgrowth on the City right-of-way that is on the west edge of his property is growing out into Oolitic St, has grown to the point of obscuring the speed limit sign, and is covering a fire hydrant. I am hoping that, given the circumstances, the City could come and mow/cut/clear that area. The main backyard is inside a fence, but this small section along Oolitic St has been left outside the fence. Thank you, Anthony Eller
When trying to make a turn from Orris Dr onto W. 11th St, the excessive growth from this home obscures the view enough to where a driver has to stick the nose of his/her car all the way out on 11th to be able to see if the way is clear. Obviously, this is dangerous. It could cause an accident with cars, schools busses running to and from Tri-North, or any pedestrian walking down the sidewalk - which, in and of itself, is obscured.
The next door neighbor has not cut his grass yet this year and has not cut it in previous years
The neighbors are building up a cat litter pile again. The smell is terrible. They have a long history of doing this...
(see photo) THIS is the yard at 913 W. 11th Street. The owner uses this house for storage and seems to think this neighborhood deserves no better than this heap. The front porch is just as bad. This is more than unsightly. This is a health and safety hazard - there are several children living right next door. PLEASE get this taken care of for the sake of everyone. I will also be contacting Kate Rosenbarger about this.
