Location of your Problem: 1821 and 1824 E Thornton Drive Details: I live on East Thornton Drive in Beechwood Manor II. I have a copy of the ordinance for our neighborhood (found in plat book 7, page 99). The ordinance states that "Every dwelling shall have a ...driveway... All residents are to park off the street on these drives..." Two of my neighbors regularly park thier cars on the street. House 1821 parks one of their cars on the street, and house 1824 parks 2 cars on the street. This is becoming an issue because snow plows cannot clear snow effectively and the trash trucks need to pull back and forth multiple times to turn around in the cul-de-sac. We have a window that faces their side porch where they put their trash bags. On multiple occasions we have seen 1-3 rats rummaging through their garbage. Vicky, About two weeks ago I talked to you about a problem in Highland Village the address was 4536 middle Court. The people were throwing there trash out the back door of the house and the crowns were coming to the back yard and eating. At that time you were going to call the health department. The next door neighbor was at the neighborhood meeting last Monday nite and indicated they had not been out and she had called the health department back twice but didn't return her call. The neighbors name was Jo Cozire 4526 Middle Court PH# 339-3260. I was wondering if you could contact the health department again.
More than half of the sidewalk on the northwest corner of 1st & Henderson (Henderson Street side) is overgrown with plants/bushes/weeds. You can not navigate a wheelchair or have 2 people walk side by side.
The tenants at this address recently moved out. They have left trash on the front porch that is rotting and leaking everywhere. She has also left items at the back garage as well. They are worried about rodents.
At a neighborhood Fourth of July party, the question came up on whether the faded stop sign at the corner of Forrester (north side) and Daniel will be replaced and moved in front of the tree that partially blocks it so motorists will stop at that intersection. We have a lot of children who walk to the park by both stop signs on Forrester and Daniel, so we were hoping there is a way to mark those intersections so they stop. Is there anyone in the city we should pose this question to? Thanks for any advice you can provide.
