Received email from the planning dept. The uncontainered trash bags around the back wall of 809 S. Fess are an increasing nuisance on our block. When I complain to the students, they clean up the alley a bit but do not put out their trash weekly. The raccoons, rats, ect. get into it and carry bits of garbage around the back alley, where my toddler and I like to walk. This week is a typical example of what is lying around back there. Rental (duplex) has been vacant since Aug 2023. Since end of May 2024 there has been trash piled on the porch and backyard, left by squatters. It was cleaned up in June and trash is there again. Also it appears that someone is living in the back garage, which does not have doors and was supposed to be boarded up by the owner.

Citizen filed complaint concerning the forced installation of digital services and now is paying 20% more for something she never wanted. Citizen stated she was not told about the rate increase when the digital service was installed.
