OVERGROWN GRASS
OVERGROWN GRASS
Tall weeds; looks like a jungle.
( house is behind her house) . Neighbors are putting food waste in their yard for the birds and it is causing problems. She would like this unhealthy environment fixed.
High weeds. Weeds back near the alley that comes into Oak St. are extremely high. She had to call 3 times last year.
The first alley east on Pine St. on West Kirkwood has lots of weeds, trees hanging over the alley which scrapes vehicles passing through, and a shed build on the City ROW. Mr. Fleetwood would like to accompany the Inspector at the inspection; please call him on his car phone (322-2156) or his home phone (332-5044) and he will meet the Inspector at the site.
Fence for this property (or maybe 1125) is protruding too far into the public alley. Mr. Fleetwoods tenants need to access this alley to exit the property, and that need will become more urgent as the 3rd/5th/Adams construction begins. This fence makes the alley inaccessible.
Ms. Angust stated the the property owner at 804 W. 7th Street (John Bavender) has placed metal fence post on the property line between his property and the City alley. Ms Angust stated that the post were not installed correctly and that the post lean into the alley, since then he has placed cement blocks around the post that she thinks encroach into the alley
A resident who wants to remain anonymous called Public Works Dept. to request that a staff member check to see if two metal stakes are with in our right-of-way. The stakes are making it difficult for vehicles to turn onto the north/south alley between 810 W. 7th & 811 W. 8th Streets. Citizen wants stakes removed if possible.
The bushes have grown over onto the sidewalk and the pine trees need to be trimmed above the sidewalk.
Many dog owners do not keep their dogs on leashes when they bring them to 9th Street Park & dogs are a problem for her and her cats in her yard. Diana would like more patrol and larger signs to advise/educate park visitors about leash law. xc: Dave Williams
