Mayor Hamilton I know your not in charge of I--69 but I work at Monroe Hospital and the intersection and overpass being built is taking far more time than it should. Some rumors I have heard its Political was the reason for it not getting done. The light was taken down at Vernal Pike and the over pass near there already done. I also feel I-69 should of been done in each section being done one at a time. Also there are so many roads in Bloomington that needs address---like Leonard Springs Rd its awful I have to drive it and I really feel for all the bus drivers--which I know is just one of many. Please don't let I-69 take away from fixing much needed other roads. Also Bloomington was once a great Manufacturing city ---we need more of those ---I don't like the fact that just like RCA--and Otis and now GE--are things of the past and putting government money to up keep those places and shut them down is totally not right. We are tax payers and were getting ripped off. I know this letter probably won't matter. Thanks for listening Jennifer Jennifer a

Thankfully the annexation without representation was blocked. Democrats confuse legality with morality. To increase taxes on someone without representation in the process is immoral. If annexation is so obviously right, why did the mayor seek to do so by involuntary annexation. The state law needs to be changed so people have a voice in the process. For a millionaire developer and a mayor to keep me from voting is undemocractic . For the Democrats in Bloomington to say they are for the little man and then turn around and pull such a stunt does not speak well of politics in the city of Bloomington.

This morning, while driving to work at Cook Pharmica, I was going a different way than normal. I was on 3rd St instead of 2nd St, and needed to get over to turn onto Patterson abruptly because I wasn't too familiar with the area. A city employee driving a city truck not only didn't acknowledge my turn signal, he sped up. He proceeded to try and "race" me, and when I was finally able to get in front of him because I couldn't get behind him due to other vehicles, he proceeded to turn his bright lights on to distract me. Naturally, I sped up. The city employee sped up with me and began to tail me, all the way to Cook. I pulled over into the Cook lot and attempted to get a license plate, but he sped away. All I could get was what I believe the last 2 digits to be, 50. I want you to understand, as a city employee, this person represents not only the city, but the city government as well. This was a HORRIBLE display of unprofessional and inappropriate behavior. I do not know that side of the city well, and for all this guy knew, I could have been from out of town. And that's the impression an out-of-towner would have of city government. Next time this happens, I will not only take a video of it, I will post it on every social media website and news outlet available. Fire immature people who act like this because they should NOT be working in government. Thanks and have a nice day.

Dear Mayor Hamilton, Thank you for your op-ed piece, “Pistols in the Pool, Machine Guns on Parade and Nothing We Can Do,” published in the NY Times. You message was clear, passionate, and eloquent while posing the crucial question of how to keep our town safe and clarifying how we’ve arrived at these untenable circumstances. Your timing for pointing out Republican Vice President nominee Mike Pence as the source of this situation in particular is appreciated. My husband and I are so glad your message was given this platform. As parents of a son in law enforcement, we were also glad you addressed how hazardous the lack of gun restrictions in Indiana is for police officers. Thank you for taking this stand. Please know you have my support. Sincerely yours, Melissa Keller
