i am a wheelchair user who wants to bring to your attention the handicapped parking space on kirkwood right in front of the entrance to the Fountain Square Building. one of the spaces has grate and sunken and uneven pavement that makes it very difficult and somewhat dangerous to use a wheelchair in that space. i would suggest moving the accessible parking space or giving a permanent fix to the sunken space. contact me via email or phone if my description is confusing or if you are unable to find the problem i am talking about. thanks. gilbert marsh

The ‘no parking’ zones were recently repainted for street parking off 8th and Indiana. It seems that the no parking designated zone was extended 3-5 feet. Was there a reason for this? Now, there is even more limited street parking, and it’s going to be a warzone when the rest of the students move in come August.

I received a notice in the mail of an overdue parking citation. It had been issued on 6/20/24 and the notice said that I had failed to pay it within 14 days, so the fine was now doubled. However, I never saw the parking ticket on my car, and I never received any other notice that I had received a ticket. I do not think that this is a fair system, as parking tickets left on cars can be tampered with by other people. I have paid this parking ticket, but I'd like you to look into this policy and consider changing it so that there is some way to ensure that the person receiving a ticket actually sees it in time to pay it before it is doubled. Individual in neighborhood continues to park on lawn, despite having a driveway, garage and plenty of parking space at curb side - 3542 N Windcrest Drive. Silver grey mustang

There is a downed tree ( a very large limb from a tree) and what appears to be an abandoned car at the deadend of Thornton and Troy Ct. The car has been there much longer than the downed tree limb. I am unsure if the tree is from private property or city owned property but has been down since the bad storm from the end of June....there is also a large section of fence that is down. If this is private property, I am unsure how to get ahold of the owners.

Hello: This Honda is parked nearly every evening, as well as over the weekend, on the 300 block of S Jackson. Photo attached Not sure where the person goes when they leave the car here, but they inevitably leave bags of garbage behind. This has been going on for about 6 weeks now and we are sick of cleaning up large amounts of trash. Perhaps one of the Neighborhood Resource Officers could come by and talk with her one evening? I live on West Dodds street. Now that Rogers is closed there is a lot more traffic on Dodds. It could be because the yellow curb markings are fading, but folks are parking their cars on the street all the way to the 4 way stop sign at Rogers/Dodds. With cars parked like that when you enter Dodds and a car is coming down Dodds there is no where to go. I am an older driver and its scary entering my street. With the increase in traffic I am hoping that you can remark the yellow curb lines and hopefully keep cars from parking so close to the intersection. Thank you
