The attached photo shows the detour for the B-Line Trail (closed for Switchyard construction) around 11am today. I had to carry my bike across the void. I am concerned that someone with accessibility issues who cannot lift their bike, or is in a wheelchair, would not be able to get by. The sidewalk on the opposite side of the road is closed as well. This is the west side of Rogers just north of the Rockport intersection. I do not see how this is allowed to happen.

Along the southern edge of South East park there is a brambly thorn bush that is over hanging the sidewalk. Could it please be trimmed back off the sidewalk so pedestrians are scratched by the thorns? I think the best way to describe the location would the edge of the park nearest the house at 1811 S Montclair.

The sidewalk at the north edge of the Goat Farm is covered with mud and water. I reported this on 3/30, #172124, and it was cleaned up. The problem appears to be a lack of drainage causing the standing water and residual mud.

Oak trees on street in front of house hang over sidewalk so pedestrians have to duck. One tree was also hit by a truck this week and a branch is now hanging down and obstructing the street.

Pictured above: the view from a bicycle seat as cyclist (on a bike path/sidewalk) approaches the circular loop at the southern end of the Grimes/Patterson parking lot. (Note: the problem I want to highlight is similar when cyclist is heading south towards that "roundabout" from the north on the bike/ped path). And the problem is this: a cyclist can easily not notice until too late that there is no curb cut to allow easy entry to the loop. YES, for safety reasons, the city probably decided NOT to be a curb cut there. Fine. BUT PLEASE, consider a very visible barrier so cyclists can see in advance that they should not proceed forward OR, at least, put some bright yellow paint or striped yellow-black paint on the curb as an attention grabber. Needed on both the south side of the loop and the north side. THANKS!

The tree on the right side of the house which is facing W twin oaks ridge is impassable on the sidewalk. Children walk home from school this route and the sidewalks need to be cleared of low hanging tree limbs. Thank you!

I am writing to report a broken tree limb that poses a safety concern. It appears that the limb was damaged during the storm we experienced at the end of March 2023. The tree in question is located on city land outside of my property boundary at 1301 W. 8th Street in Bloomington. The broken limb is specifically situated at the intersection of Adams Street and 8th Street, where there is a significant amount of pedestrian traffic. The footpath visible in the attached picture is frequently used by pedestrians crossing from the sidewalk on Adams Street onto 8th Street. The presence of the broken tree limb in this area creates a potential safety hazard for pedestrians. Additionally, there is a slight concern that the broken limb obstructs the view of the Adams Street bridge for drivers turning right onto Adams Street from Fountain. This obstruction may affect the visibility of oncoming traffic, potentially leading to traffic incidents or delays. I kindly request that the relevant department of Bloomington takes immediate action to address this issue. It is crucial to ensure the safety of pedestrians and motorists in the area by removing the broken tree limb and conducting any necessary tree maintenance or inspection. Excessive growth covering walkable sidewalk area.
