There is a strip of grass outside our back yard fence along the parking lot across from the Bryan Park poo. For the last three years + the city has mowed it. This year so far they have mowed a strip along the parking lot but have left a strip along our fence (see photo). The gentleman who mows rides his mower through the parking lot several times a week, could he please mow that strip or would you please tell me why not?
He does a great job keeping the area mowed and trimmed.
Thanks,
Rich Pierce

The Davis St. right of way, just south of my property is forested. I know that the city doesn't normally tend to the trees in this strip, but it's public property. I write because of two particular dead trees in this area--one a hazard to utility wires, the other temporarily leaning against a live tree but will eventually fall on our fence.May I show you these dead trees and ask if the city would be willing to remove them before they damage our property and the public utility lines?

There is a bradford pear tree (an invasive species) on the city median with the street. I'd like to have this scheduled for removal

I would like to report a dead city tree in the tree strip in front of my house. Tree site ID: 27963.
The tree is—or was—a flowering crabapple, and it has died over the past few years. My house is located at a fairly prominent intersection, and I worry that the tree will be a hazard as it decays.

The eastern-most tree on the tree plot in front of my house is dead. The western-most tree on the tree plot(the tree next to the driveway) has many dead branches, and I fear the whole tree may be dying. Can at least the dead tree be removed? It would be good if the dead branches on the other tree could also be cut down. Thank you, Nancy Boerner

A tree of about 8 inches DBH and located about a foot from the curb on S. Highland Ave. has a lot of poison ivy on it. The poison ivy extends about 2 feet over the street, so is a danger to pedestrians and cyclists (there is no sidewalk on either side of this block of Highland). Furthermore, the ivy has several large clusters of green, immature seeds (see both photos). It is therefore imperative that all of this ivy be removed or killed soon, before the seeds mature and are spread by birds. The tree and poison ivy are located across the street (Highland) from a bright blue house (this is at the corner at E. Wylie and Highland). Thanks for taking care of this. Jeff Palmer

Poison ivy is growing into the walking and bike lane all along Southdowns. This is a hazard to people walking, children, and pets who will transfer the oils to their owners.
