Grass overgrowth on playgrounds
Grass overgrowth on playgrounds
The playground bathrooms are both locked, this is the third time I’ve visited this playground with the restrooms unavailable. Really a bummer for the kiddos to stop playing because we have to leave to find a bathroom
The swings could use some grease they are quite loud!
Beginning this Spring 2024 there have been motorcycles using the park as a low key motocross for at least two late teens boys. This began early April. I approached them after a couple of weeks of the noise from their intermittent use, stating that I did not think the park was an appropriate area to be riding. they countered, saying they had just that day had a conversation with a police officer, called out in response to a complaint, who told them they could ride only in the park and not on the street. these kids do run their bikes on 16th, N Hancock , and 15th steets. They have been in the park 3 to 4 days each week. I arrived home tonight about 10:05 and there were headlights and engine noise running in the park. This dos not sit well with me. I contribute time to clearing the park of invasive species so everyone can have better, larger access to the park, and an agent of the city is suggesting it is allowable to have motor vehicles mix with pedestrians freely. The noise is considerable at times in what is essentially my front yard
The bench swings at switchyad park need a good greasing. Squeaking very loud.

There is a large/full/mature mulberry tree hanging over power lines, utility lines, cable and telephone wires. The tree is specifically at the edge of the alley entering Jackson St from the property address listed above. In storms the branches bounce off the power lines and causes a lot of sparks. Cars are parked very close to this and concern is of fire or tearing down the power lines if a branch were to fall. Recommending a thorough cut back of large branches back to mid alley. Duke came out to trim some small branches, but didn't resolve the problem.
