A very large tree fell along the back property line of 221 E 12th St striking a mature tree in the right of way where N Lincoln Street dead ends at the railroad tracks. This resulted in a pile of debris in the right of way, a large hanging limb causing some hazard and enough damage to the large tree and the right of way that it may fall causing more damage.
large tractor-trailer broke a branch off street tree--still attached but also on the ground. It is too high for me to saw the branch through. I have dragged it to the grassy strip but it need to be cut through and removed.
Daniel Street from Forrester to the west, to Olcott on the east, has numerous trees that are mature with low hanging branches. Not only are the trees dropping limbs routinely that find their way to the sewer drains and are causing clogs and water to build up on the road, but they are a hazard as personal vehicles and commercial vehicles travel this section of road daily and hit them and/or vehicles are constantly swerving to miss them and narrowly miss hitting approaching vehicles, and there have been near misses with people on bikes, walkers, kids, etc. The city needs to take the time to send out crews to work this entire road and take down all the low limbs on these trees so that there are none coming in contact with vehicles, and really trim them back so not hanging over the road. Courts frequently full from people outside the neighborhood. Particularly paid coaches giving lessons. If someone wants to make money let them do it in a private court before taking all of the neighborhood courts for hours from local residents. Please change the policy. If already a policy please post it.
The street apron at the entrance to Leonard Springs Nature Park is badly eroded, to the point where vehicles can bottom out and scrape against the edge of the remaining asphalt. This happens even when turning very slowly and carefully into the park. I believe it needs to be filled in with road base and topped with asphalt or concrete. Thanks!
The trail at North of the community has been invaded by a homeless community. Close to Tom Winneger project.
Tree cleanup needed in the creek alongside the Clear Creek Trail between That Road and Church Lane. There were trees at various locations that fell into the creek from the trail side that the city owns. These trees cause a potential flood hazard and need to be removed. I spoke with City of Bloomington Stormwater and MS4 Coordinator and they referred me to report this to Parks and Rec to take care of the issue.
There are three (3) dead trees that we believe are located on the Building & Trades Park property that we would like to see removed because of their potential danger to our building. Please let us know how this is assessed. Thank you
