The pedestrian paths leading to the pedestrian tunnel under the 45-46 bypass are icy and hazardous. This is the case both westbound and eastbound. I saw another pedestrian fall on the eastbound approach. I was carrying a heavy load of groceries, and I consider myself lucky that I didn't fall. Bloomington, please do better by us.
This ice must be taken care of. This is a major safety issue. Who is responsible for this?? For a portion of a major city greenway to be neglected like this is unforgivable! If anyone who works for the city sat in a chair today, give them a shovel and a bag of salt and tell them to get out there until this liability is dealt with!
The sidewalk on the northside of the Southeast Park tennis courts (along Moores Pike) is full of mud and debris, and unusable at times. There is also a stack of tree limbs that need cleared in that area.
Great news! There is high demand for bicycle parking near Bryan Park pool. Sad news: There is no overflow bicycle parking near Bryan Park pool. Could overflow bicycle parking at this location be added to a wish list for next year?
Bicycle parking is never good for the Saturday Farmer's Market, but today it was exceptionally problematic. When I first arrived I was able to lock my trike but when I had trouble accessing my lock and when I did get to it two helpful young men assisted by lifting my trike to free it from the pile. I am 75 years old. This was hard. My trike is ADA compliant but it is not compact. I don't take it into the market, but my walking ability is limited so don't tell me about the bike racks that are blocks away from the market. Please do better with bike parking convenient to the market
The walking/bike trail opposite the Ferguson Dog Park was NOT cleared of snow and we just observed a person pushing, with great difficulty, another person in a wheelchair on this snow/slush covered walk. Shouldn’t the City clear it’s walks just as it expects homeowners to do?
Multiuse Path/Sidewalk covered with low hanging branches and berries all over the path. South of Railroad tracks, north of Eastgate Lane, on west side of 46. Difficult and messy for pedestrians and especially cyclists.
Homeless are taking over the sidewalks by Seminary Square park, you can't walk at near the intersection of 2nd St and Walnut. Trash everywhere, needles spread out on 2nd St, baby playpen, clothes all over. It's an eyesore for the City, and you feel harassed everyday by people sitting on the bench and holding signs!
