Referencing Case #168961 Actual address is 712 N. Oolitic but the GIS won't pinpoint there - city Ash tree back corner beside alley. Any updates? I am more than ready to re-seed the area once the tree and stump are removed.
I would like to know who is in charge of taking care of the fringe area between the Cascades golf course & the service road that abuts the properties of Northwood Estate? It seems that there is a dead tree covered over with scrap weeds, baby trees, poison ivy & all along that service road it has been really neglected. I used to walk across to walk. I cant anymore. It has gotten much worse this yr.
Basketball courts and skatepark are both packed at the new Switchyard Park. Are the state mandated guidelines being enforced here?
Our sub division Northwood Estates has been having a lot of trouble with drainage. It seems that the easements have overgrown scab trees & brush that may be blocking some water but it also seems as thoug your drainage system that takes the water to a creek needs to be cleaned out. We back up to the golf course & have trouble getting the golf course staff to maintain our side of the course, ie mowing, weeds, dead trees along the road,etc. We seem to be a bit neglected when it comes to these problems. I reported a potential safety issue at Bryan Park toddler playground almost 6 weeks ago on ticket 175059. This issue still has not been looked at resolved. Can someone please review this?
We're moving into yet another period with dangerous heat indexes, and the water fountains at Southeast Park still remain off. Can these please be turned on ASAP?
My understanding is the City FINALLY was going to open Cascades road back up for some road traffic from the South. Took my family in the car today. Nope. When is this happening? Why is a park in the city harder to get to than the area lakes? Why do you make an awesome resource difficult to access to people like my family and kids? We waste our time, gas, and pollute the environment to travel extra miles and cut through pedestrian presence on the golf course why exactly? Open the road up. City parks should be accessible and open to the whole public without an obstacle course. So sick of these antics.
The City owns TWO Historic Buildings. The Waldron AND The Banneker. One serves white residents. The other serves Black residents. One is getting a $500k renovation. The other desperately needs roof, HVAC, windows, flooring, masonry and drainage repair. Recover forward should honor ALL residents of Bloomington. Black and white. Invest in The Banneker.
Update ice rink website. Didn't say closed online. Planned a big event and then told a private event is keeping us from attending. So apparently money talks and private events keep the public away now? Easy to update a website and not waste everyone's time. Lots of people came and were frustrated.
