Tree limb cracked; branch & leaves at windshield height
Hi, I don’t know if the parks department or city cares much about it but there are large patches of Japanese knotweed growing along the trail. It's a tricky plant to get rid of and requires strategic doses of herbicide at specific stages in it's life cycle and for multiple years. Y'all might already be aware and I've chatted with a lady working on other invasives along the trail. I live in Broadview 2nd and have been keeping my eyes out for it to keep it out of the neighborhood. I just wanted to bring it to someone's attention. The subreddit for invasive species seems to have the most up to date methods of attack and discussion I've found. Cutting it down only makes it angry and dig in/spread more. One of the street trees that was alive last year has decided to die. The other two (both black gum I believe) are still alive and healthy. It is the easternmost tree on the property. We are new to Bloomington and this home and not sure what the next steps would be.
Employees in a security vehicle patrolling the Bline trail were smoking in the vehicle while driving through Switchyard Park. This seems like a lapse in oversight and resulted in negatively impacting the experience visiting the park.

Encampment of homeless people has started cutting down large live trees on the east side of the beeline Trail parallel to the retention pond.
Other: There is offensive hate speech graffiti on the bypass B-Line trail (the trail across from the main B-Line trail light post 9 or so). There are multiple places where swastikas, swear words, and mentions of "white power" are spray painted on the paved trail. Please remove/cover this immediately.
Large pin oak tree has large horizontal limbs that are dead and overhangs a big traffic light and sidewalk. This poses a danger to the traffic light, to cars in the intersection, and to pedestrians on the sidewalk. Please remove these dead limbs as soon as possible. Thank you.
